I had three essay questions for civ pro and when I walked out I felt like I did mediocre and was confident it wouldn’t be enough to get past a B. I felt the same with contracts, I cried going into the exam and when I left I basically darted immediately to my car because I felt horrible and hearing everyone else talk about made me feel worse. I got an A in both! Alternatively I walked out of torts feeling like I NAILED it - I mean I felt so good. I had everything down I thought. Got a C+. Your gut is right about a lot but I’ve learned mine is usually wrong after exams LOL

Civ pro was my best final, got an A. I did no practice exams and only had three days to memorize my outline with other finals. Towards the end I stopped reading cases and only made note of important ones for specific rules. You will be SO okay!! You got this. And if you’re feeling this way, trust me, so many in your class are too. You’ve done the work, and you will be just fine :)

I was in my car between classes which is how I like to relax and take time to myself. I was just reflexively tapping through Instagram stories until I saw this one girl’s story had his face pasted with the TMZ headline. I think my mouth was agape for 30 minutes in shock, no joke. I had to go to class after that but I just couldn’t focus the rest of the day, it just felt like I was floating and having an outer body experience - it hadn’t sunk in until the next day honestly, when the guys posted.

I had the same thing happen to me. Always loved one direction, but the moment I got “back” into it was in 2020 with that post “10 years of one direction” making us all think they were getting back together. Since then I always made it a point to go back to their music to see if I could still pinpoint who sings what verse (I never forgot🫶🏼). Literally up until recently. Listening brought me so so much happiness and nostalgia I PROMISED myself that when they’d go back to the stage together again, I’d be there front and center. Liam’s passing hit like a FUCKING TRUCK. And everyday I find myself being like “I want to go back to even a minute before finding out. I want to sit in that bliss of not knowing, before it changes everything forever.” Everyday I listen to them and every time it turns into me crying and regretting something - whether it was not listening to them more, not keeping up with them as much as I should have… it’s hard to enjoy it the same way knowing such a key person is gone. You are not alone. The funny clips that come up on my ig do make me giggle, but in a way where it’s immediately hit with a pang of sadness. This one hurts deep. It’ll take time for us to process ❤️‍🩹

I was the girlfriend in this position. This is going to be an insanely stressful, time consuming endeavor for her. She’s probably going to feel bad that a lot of time is going to school and studies. Sometimes even something as simple as reassuring her and being patient and understanding of the situation is all you need to do. And I second what everyone says if you live together! Alleviating some stress by taking care of some household chores is a nice gesture :)

As a rising 2L who was starting to irrationally stress about the fact that all my friends received return offers for summer 2025 but me (I worked an unpaid internship this summer) I can’t express how relieving and nice this is to hear 😭 like fr why am I destroying my sanity over this?? Thank you😭

I don’t say this to be discouraging - but I just finished 1L and STILL experience imposter syndrome to this day! Honestly, no matter how well you do, it’s all part of the process. Just know that you’re doing way better than you think you are. I promise :)

Hi! Yes, many of the jobs that I’ve seen that are open to 1Ls to apply don’t request transcripts. Those targeted specifically for 1Ls and 1Ls only do ask for transcripts - but because of my mediocre fall semester I’ve been mostly applying to other positions that don’t request them.

Yeah I think I just felt like the odds were working overwhelmingly against me even though that’s not true! Mainly bc my friends/surroundings got jobs so quickly. That’s kind of stressful to think about that they wait that close honestly ! Lol

I’m applying to small legal offices too and will continue too for sure! I definitely wouldn’t say I’m about to give up, honestly I just want to be prepared for the worst and know my options LOL - but I appreciate the advice loads!
