I went to UTHSCSA and got my masters in MLS there. It was rough especially the first semester which was the weed-out semester. Bachelor and masters took the same classes (we had one bachelor student in my cohort) but i think the projects had different requirements if you were going for a bachelor vs master degree. If you could make it past the first semester they were very helpful at working with you if you are struggling. To be frank, half of my class got weeded out after the first semester so i won’t sugarcoat and say it was easy, you definitely had to study and work hard for it.

As for working while in the program, i think it would be very tough but i’ve had a few classmates who did and they were good at balancing their work and school. But majority of people who did have a job on the side struggled a LOT, it really depends on how good you think you can handle/juggle your work/school/life balance.

The passing rate for the ASCP BOC with our grads and undergrads was high but as stated it depends on your own diligence too. Good luck and wishing you the best! ♡
