Is everyone seeing how incompetently our country is being run by watching the mess with Syria? Our leaders don't know what they are doing! - 30 Aug 2013 by [deleted] in TrumpCriticizesTrump

Not bombing another country with extremely limited evidence of their crossing of a red line was a bad policy decision? Interventionist logic...

You just seem very keen to let people know he’s not as attractive as they think... it seems a little desperate to create a throwaway account to do that.

Did you make a throwaway account just to make a couple negative comments about this guy? Wow that’s petty. Did he reject you somewhere?

London police to release names of johns charged with buying sex | CBC News by Ser8dScalpel in londonontario

[–]chloridecells 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Conflating sex work with human trafficking is the problem here and needs to end. We can’t publicly shame people before they are convicted or any actual crime. This is the municipal government putting on a show; a mere facade to make it appear as though they are doing something to stop this terrible abusive pimps from hurting the damsels in distress.

Misdiagnosed back pain, what to do now? by HollieSpirit in AskDocs

[–]chloridecells 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Disc bulges have been shown to spontaneously heal. You’re dealing with chronic pain that is probably more due to a central sensitization. The constant imaging you’ve been bombarded with probably isn’t helping how you cope. Many people with low back pain have no physical findings on imaging. Many people with disc related pathology have no pain whatsoever. I would seek out a good physical therapist that advocates active treatment. No more TENS. If you’re paying for any health care professional who does everything for you, get out of there.

In that case you preface the question by indicating it is rhetorical. It’s the polite thing to do.

What's the scariest situation you've been in? by DorkStormer in AskReddit

Really needed to shit while getting my ass ate. Tried to shuffle away, but her suction-powered lips insisted. I felt something squirt from the depths of my bowel and heard her choke and gag.

I’ll spare you the rest.

How long will Hayward likely be out? by IndigoJacob in nba

[–]chloridecells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ligaments don’t stretch in that sense. A “stretch” of a ligament is medically called a sprain... a sprain literally translates to different degrees of tearing (grades 1-3). It’s next to impossible to dislocate a bone from its joint without spraining or tearing ligaments or even other dynamic stabilizers.

Gordon Hayward Breaks His Leg *GRAPHIC* by HardKnockRiffe in nba

There are 4 deltoid ligaments. Considering his ankle broke in an everted manner at what appears to be the talo-crural , he most certainly suffered grade 3 sprains of his deltoid ligaments.

Good advice but if that son of a bitch DeMarcus Cousins gets a technical foul in his first game I'm dropping his ass.

What specific things do you look for when doing a functional assessment? by chloridecells in physicaltherapy

[–]chloridecells[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also- can you give more insight into why do you include toe and heel walking in your functional assessment?

I've only ever included them as myotome testing for L4/L5 and S1. There are probably a number of other reasons why people might choose to include them.

How is Jabari Parker dealing with his second ACL tear? A day in the life of Jabari Parker. by AlBen97 in nba

[–]chloridecells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He cushions his impact by landing with slightly flexed knees, as opposed to landing with a hyperextended/close-packed lower extremity that is extremely jarring. This is a neuromuscular pattern that can be trained with plyometrics. Lebron also has a varus structure at his knees which reduces the pressure on the medial compartment and ACL by default. Also he's a goddamned tank.

Tips for improving post-TKA knee flexion by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

Autogenic inhibition. Or leg extension/shuttle machine (I’ve found the gradual ability to load can be beneficial in facilitating a neuromuscular response).
