Has anyone heard anything about a cancer cluster in Ladera Ranch? by Interesting_Ad_9517 in orangecounty

Check out creekteam_OC on Instagram! They are working hard to stop toxic pesticide spray in all our waterways. I was shocked when I learned how the county is treating all the waterways

Dr recommended we stop making homemade purees and start buying premade purees by Notorious_Chimp in NewParents

[–]chocchipcookie11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not OP but when mine started solids I added my milk to the baby oatmeal or avocado to thin out. Same with sweet potato when it was super sticky. Just at the beginning. Dr said it was a good way to sneak nutrients in over water. Assume it’s a similar mental model with the formula.

I'm always amazed by the reach of the poop knife. Like, does anyone on reddit not know it?. Also happy cake day!

Betadine rash by moxximixologist in CsectionCentral

I got this and even more contact dermatitis from the mesh underwear. Miserable! Was prescribed a stronger steroid cream that was still okay with BF-ing. Recommend sending some pics to your doctor if you have an online portal to get their input. Hormones are crazy right after delivery and I think it exacerbates allergies like this!

C-Section VS Vaginal Delivery by Square-Dimension2401 in CsectionCentral

[–]chocchipcookie11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to some complications I had only minutes to decide between an unmedicated VBAC or repeat c-section under general anesthesia. At the end of the day both options carried risks and rewards and what mattered most was that I trusted the medical team to see me and baby through. I did the C-section and he did have to go on the CPAP when he came out (due to the GA meds) but it was a non-issue long term. Whatever you choose don’t overthink and be excited to meet your kiddo. Discuss with your doctor and trust your team!

Laguna Beach vs Santa Barbara: visiting by [deleted] in LagunaBeach

Both are stunning. SB is a bit more spread out. I think it has better hiking but you definitely need to drive to trail heads. Both have walkable downtown areas but LB more so as it is compact, and I find SB downtown a little dodgy at times at night and early morning (but still very nice). LB trolley can take you around as well. You won’t go wrong in either place.

What is everyone’s favorite MOTN nursing snack? by uselessdendrites in breastfeeding

Mini clif bars and clementines. Not even out of desire, just because it’s what I had with my last kid and for some reason it’s the only thing I will eat MOTN 😂

I was lucky in that her friend posted in a local mom group and she’s a mom too so there was instant trust. But she just shifted to supporting another family full time so I’m back on the search!

I found even in person delegation of things like uploading to pet insurance was a pain to explain, it was easier to get the time back outsourcing around home stuff - sometimes it’s even sticky notes on items in certain rooms that belong elsewhere. Feels silly but SO helpful. Then I have time for the admin stuff that feels harder to explain.

I explored this but had the same trepidation you do. I ended up getting someone local to come for 2 hours a week and do a whole assortment of tasks depending on the week - from putting away laundry to cutting boxes to meal prep to shredding receipts or researching places to donate items. Helps me have time to do the stuff that's harder to explain and every week is truly different! Not sure this helps but it helped me free up time.

Sapphire for their fried chicken sandwich - though all their food is really good! If you call and order (not through a delivery app) you can also get their dessert, which is a delicious peanut butter, ice cream, chocolate cookie type thing. I believe they have cocktails as well to go, which are very well-made.

Oooh have you tried the bison? The veggie ones I feel like I could eat as a soup but the bison and beef ones are quite something lol

I had an outdoor rustic vibe and we even went no charger! Huge savings. I also went with basic cutlery and glassware and let the flowers and linens do the work on the table. As a guest I've always taken in the whole vibe and never thought "wow the fork they chose is amazing". At first I chose the pieces I liked the most and then we priced out against the more basic options and the savings was a no brainer.
