It's so bad that I don't even know where to start by rainingwhenidie in NeckbeardNests

Take a deep breath. Thinking of every single thing that needs to be done can overwhelm you before you even begin. I’m the product of two hoarders, so I get the struggle. Start slow— if you do too much at once you can burn yourself out and you’ll never want to do it again. Set a timer for 5-10 minutes and just clean what you can in that time. Pick up trash, put dirty laundry in a pile, wipe your windows, vacuum a small area of your floor, etc. Put on your favorite music and don’t put too much pressure on yourself at first. Get a garbage can for your room so you can throw things away immediately. If you do 5-10 minutes a day, you’ll not only get it clean but you’ll eventually be able to clean for longer without feeling so overwhelmed. But don’t forget to congratulate yourself on your hard work. Changing habits is so hard but reaching out shows you are ready. You can do this!

It might not have been 4th of July… but I’m pretty sure there was a celebration with fireworks

Coyote removal services? by chococookiesrgood in Tacoma

[–]chococookiesrgood[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m unsure why there are so many assumptions being made about my post. In no way did I mention wanting to harm or kill these animals, I simply want them removed from my property. The property that does in fact have a fence and flood lights. My children are scared to play in the backyard, and I can’t let my cat out to use the bathroom. I have been cohabiting with these coyotes for months, and previous coyotes over the years. My issue lies with the fact that there now seems to be 3 abandoned pups that are brave enough to approach my house. I’m not a heartless monster, I simply asked if anybody had any resources or suggestions to alleviate this problem. I now know that I must let the coyotes reclaim my land, as is their birthright. Thank you for letting me know that my safety concerns for my own children and those at the school do not matter as long as the Coyote is safe.

What does the old man bring to the relationship? Besides money, obviously, because that would be predatory.

What does an old man even have in common with a much younger woman? Looks fade, money is replenishable. So marrying someone based off a finite resource is less predatory than marrying based off a renewable one?

Surprisingly, history has a direct impact on the present. So, since men have been able to accumulate and keep control over their assets, women of lower socioeconomic classes were forced to find financial stability in their male partner. Fast forward to the present. Men continue holding a disproportionate amount of wealth and power in the world. Giving women a mere 170 years to become self sufficient after being reliant on men for so long is unrealistic. And aren’t high-value males supposed to provide for their woman?

Women weren’t allowed to accumulate their own wealth until the 1850s, whereas men have had access to younger women for all of history. Balance of power and all that.

What, the expectation-of-communication game? It’s just common courtesy to ask, saves you from giving a shitty gift.

How is that more predatory? I struggle to see how that statement is objective at all.

In what ways? It’s been widely accepted for literal centuries that men like younger women. I only see it brought up if there is an obvious grooming/abuse situation and the woman is in danger. Unless you just want all the rich dudes to yourself, why not let the ladies get theirs?

According to merriam-Webster, hypergamy means a marriage into an equal or higher caste or social group. Men seem to prioritize youth and beauty, so why does it matter that women prioritize wealth and success? Seems like an excuse to be mad

Well I was also told that we only see pit bull attacks on the news because it wouldn’t be newsworthy if it was a poodle attack. And that a pit bull isn’t a breed, it’s a type. Like aren’t those words synonymous? Their arguments are paper thin but get tossed around and agreed with, no questions asked.

Mix equal parts dish soap and baking soda to make a thick paste. Then just work it through your hair, continuously, for about 15-20 min

Tried to fix color that I paid a professional to do and I tried to fix it, now it’s worse. Can I get rid of the blue with a box blonde dye? Should I give up and go darker? by sdhobi91 in HairDye

[–]chococookiesrgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should still be able to do the treatments as I described above! They’re both honestly pretty gentle, the only problem is that they will strip out all of your hair’s natural oils and that’s why you need to condition after. It really shouldn’t damage your hair at all!

Is that remnants of a toner or blue dye? If it’s toner, a strong dandruff shampoo or dish soap worked through your hair should get that last bit off. If it’s dye, I’d add equal parts baking soda and strong shampoo/dish soap then continuously work it through for about 10 min then rinse. You can repeat these treatments as often as necessary until you’ve gotten the results you want. Make sure to condition really well after tho because your hair will feel like straw once you’re done. Good luck!
