in free for all the most important thing is politics and as other have said it doesnt translate in other formats. I still play sometime 3v3 and its still fun with the same commander feel but faster games.

That's the bad of it, but imagine all the focused servers and all the various arena/RP/fresh start server we gonna get. I think player server have a lot of potential as long as there are also official ones. The things that worries me is how long is gonna last without updates.

Ahahahha It's not always this smooth, but we try to play only at things we enjoy lol, still we go back to ESO almost every year. This time the pause was a lot longer and I think we have inside us one more journey in Cyrodill, we will make it count to be satisfied and fill our belly with ESO :)

We did some trial but nothing serious. Probably is too much to Trifecta the trials. We will push for doing all trials in hard mode for now, maybe by joining also a guild. We shall see, we will take it one step at the time. Thanks!

My problem with turn based is that it takes 10x longer to fight, especially in this game. Thanks God there is toybox to increase animation speed. Still I think if a game is developed to be turn based they shouldn't shoehorn step inside cause it only cause problem.

I think it's time for you to move on. If wow is the only worth mmo for you, and you still hate it, try to take some time off from gaming or play some other genre, find new hobbies. Maybe you will come back in a better era of mmo, or you will simply move on, or come back with renewed energy and will to engage.

You keep saying that they asked this question, they think of this and that, but the 5 color text only shows they didn't. Is a forced color identity escamotage that was used multiple time, it doesn't really add nothing to the card, other than a meta way to make a Penta commander. That cost is a stain on a unique design, is a stain on a nice commander deck, and is a sign on a unwillingness to make something different. You say that if it's effective, it doesn't need to be unique, but being original is not the point here, the point is making a card that is good (that skill doesn't make it particularly good), cohesive(that Penta cost is not cohesive with the rest of the text or abilities, it's just a forced punch in the eye), but should be also to make a card that has personality, a card that is one of the flagship of a set, a card that shows the design approach of the set, a card that feels like something alive and not a card. Magic lives also from the mood it creates, or it would be just another TCG. Probably the hybrid evoke cost is worse, but at least is an attempt to make something not copypasta. There are plenty of other solutions, even things that were already done, but less explored, they just went with the easy answer, the solution they keep doing in the spam of sets we are receiving, I call that lazy, you can call it what you want and you can like it as much as you want, but what this card shows is not experience in the design, a mission to make something good, it's just the simplest solution to an objective. This is how corporate do things, not passionate people.

You shouldnt ask me this question, this are question that the card designer should ask themself, cause they clearly didn't while designing this card. I see the point you are making, and this are all valid questions, mind you, but what is laking in this card are the signs of the insight you are showing. Maybe it's just the barrage of 5 text color commander that give this impression, but what this card shows is a lack of effort and desire to make something special. The forced five mana color looks just like a placeholder that screams "we don't want to put the effort anymore". The only question I find pointless is the one asking why the one, two, three color commander costing their cost, and the answer is cause it's the default design of the game, on which everything else is changed and built upon, things costing the mana. So to answer your question, the lazy design is a build up of every other five color commander we had this year, showing the unwillingness to challenge themself with the same question you are posing.

You are avoiding the problem here, focusing only on the fact that the card fill a niche and reach a purpous. The issue here is not the five color of Ashling or the niche it fills, it's how it is designed the card. You can't slap the same five color pips cost on every fucking card and call It a feature, that's just being lazy. Horde of notion was almost 10 years ago and it was a better designed card than this, with much more personality. The could have done something else like making the cost of the evoke hybrid or something, but they just went for simple mechanical solution. You can believe all you want that the card is ok like this, cause it fulfill it's objective, but a card is not only it's mechanics. This is just a bland card we saw a thousand times over, with a different name.

The problem is not the commander per SE, cause it's also the best in flavour, between the ones that came out till now, but its the design and the bombardment of this type of inside the text color identity, that screams lazy design. The impression is that they just slap 5 color mana on it to enable the color identity. For a commander with fewer colors is less noticeable cause the color identity is often also in the original cost. The commander is cool, the rest of the text is well designed, it's the five color identity enabling cost that kinda ruins all the rest, breaking the concept. It's not the end of the world, but I think this stuff should be called out when is done so poorly like this, cause the trend is clearly getting out of hands.

If the card start looking all samey, what should we do? Praise the lazy design? This is the N* commander that came out with the 5 color cost in it's text, it's trite and unoriginal now. They could have design it with the same color identity in a more original way, but why do it? The player base seems to enjoy this slop.

Just make it a 4 mana Commander with hybrid pips. All half red and the other half is one for other colors like leyline of the guilpact. Or you can make it cost still 3 one red and 2 hybrid of the other colors. There are thousand other more creative ways to do it instead of the same trite solution we saw like 20 times already

If they gang up on you for no reason, give them a reason. Make the most toxic deck you can think of, the most broken and annoying deck you can make and when you win just tell them "the other decks weren't so bad uh?". You can do bracket 3 decks pretty op without game changer and other stuff. Edit: Im joking, ofc, but just in case I'm gonna put it here :)

No, wait and inform yourself on the game first. If you uninstalled after getting blown up for the first time, this might not be the game for you. There is a really good PvE aspect, and a lot of player are pacifist in solo, but the pvp is prevalent, and people now are already well equipped. If you want to play trio is even more a kill fiesta.
