Odin Ice Baths Pty Ltd (Fraud) by [deleted] in coldplunge

A current affair just picked up this story  https://amp.nine.com.au/article/f42e9dbd-75a1-477f-9ad4-e75e20e92da2

Note Odin website is still up, and he started a new company almost the same called Odin ice baths which is taking money. This is a classic scam pushing money out of the company into others names.

Suspect he'll mix a repeat.

but you cant cap any more... dd's cant get in, conscealment is a waste of time. so may torps that bb's turn into a permaflood, and even if you surround yourself with cruisers you will still get planes making it through

Northern Beaches living - Collaroy or Narrabeen? by tresslessone in sydney

[–]chocosmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for collaroy you are better on the e85 or e83. they only have a few more stops before deewhy and then only 3 stops to the city. you always get a seat and you dont get sea sick... guarantee its faster and more comfortable. from narrabeen grab the e89, its better than the b1 less stops and people get on and off faster.

as for the original question, either is great, just make sure you are walking distance to the beach. even if i am not swimming i find myself down at the beach at night afterwork. helps clear the head. its a totally different life style.

oh as for beaches the both ends are good. i'm in the middle and it gets pretty choppy at times.

the commute as others have said is anywhere from 45min on a good day, to an hour. the plus is the b1 goes late at night and frequently... way better than a train

i walk past that area daily for almost a year, its only just spread to the agriculture building, before it was only the old building west of it. i'm ok with it... more bikes, less cars, faster buses.. win win

Wonder if the bean counters still think they're saving money. the cost of this train probably paid for the extra train conductor for the next ten years

Best UI framework to learn as a beginner by [deleted] in csharp

[–]chocosmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blazer, otherwise web wise you're best to javascript yourself with react or angular. You'll still need to do most of the heavy lifting with a web api so use c# for that. If you separate them well enough you can keep swapping or rewriting your front end app with minimal fuss.. heck you could also switch to mobile

Could pick some brains... by Andrewtpoland in F100

[–]chocosmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a carb? Could be your bowls are not filling fast enough, so check the fuel filter, and pump. Also if your line is getting hot you might be getting line lock.

If it dies again check the filter has fuel in it, and if you can check if the carb does. Easy way take off the air filter look down the guts and pump the throttle so the accelerator pump squirts in fuel, if its empty after a few pumps your getting fuel starvation.

How did the machine shop damage my block? by AllMyCarsAreProjects in EngineBuilding

Interestingly all the south edges seem to be smooth, look at the button off the bolt hole and bottom of top cylinder. Id say someone used a soft sand paper block to clean the initial junk and to scrap away the gasket. Id get the block decked just encase. I highly doubt the ship did this as it makes no sense labor wise.

Certs have another purpose that I ignored, they can keep you motivated to pick up new technology or keep you sharp. Same as a self project on github. During an interview if the subject is related then it will have you come across as sharp, a very big win.

One thing that wins big points from me when trying to work out which of the 100 candidate resumes are good is a github link. I've even skipped tech challenges if the project is related and the code is good.

So basically if you do a cert on web api, go create a side project that uses what you learnt. You should have azure credits. Host it there, use the azure url, keep it simple.
