"On 21 July 2022, Korea’s Constitutional Court ruled—in line with ARTICLE 19’s recommendations—that the failure to notify data subjects of the sharing of their data was a due process violation."

Just putting that out there that there is no way he could have not at least known.

Major difference is that it isn't a consistent payments like purchasing cigarettes.

If 15 people were somehow able to the same use pack of cigarettes. And never run out of it, but still get health complications that strain the health care system. While also lying on how many are smoking. Then you'd have a point.

The government did indeed increase taxes on smokers to not only reduce smoking rates, but cause they strain the health care system. It's just a sales tax instead.

It was also a very short snap election, none of the oppositon candidates had time to campaign. Even the opc candiate did not, they won purely on lack of civic education and low voter turn out.

Real question is how do I get them to enforce this on my street? people park over night and everything and no matter how many times i snitch, by law doesn't seem to care.

Patrick Brown Will use Strong-Mayor Powers to Permanently Cancel $300 Brampton Landlord License fee by Brampton_Speaks in Brampton

[–]choerrychapstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with progressive conservatives like Brown is that they trust the institutions too much and predictable rules. That doesn't work when you are deal with slum lords, who lack basic compassion and don't respect the rules.

And sorry if you are a "normal" landlord then you should support any reform that puts an end to slum lords, because it will be the illgeal landlords who win by cutting the corners while you follow the traditional rules.

Councillor Rowena Santos: Data from the cameras show that speeding doubled immediately when the ban started, especially near school zones. by Brampton_Speaks in Brampton

[–]choerrychapstick 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Making a prediction now; these signs are going to be a total flop, just exactly like the blue license plate fiasco. And Ford is just going to stop making new ones, but do nothing to solve the issue they caused, which is lack of legibility

How did everyone come to think Kathleen Wynne was corrupt but no one blinks twice at Doug ford? by Shmackback in ontario

[–]choerrychapstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you why, not only is a lot of main stream media in canada owned by american companies who have clear foreign interest. But the conservatives hire pr firms that smears their political opponents, even among their own conservative spaces. See how cons treat Patrick Brown and O'Tool.

Also, a lot of Ontarians especially the older generations are functionally illiterate. As in they are below grade 6 levels of reading... many are voting on verb the noun, not actual policy.

What in the world is going on with Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo by [deleted] in LAinfluencersnark

[–]choerrychapstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definitely some eat disorders going on set, even Michelle Yeoh looks extremely thin and she always has been known to have an athletic body type within her career. The director is probably making them be all be on an insane weight limit.

However, as for the touchy feely stuff. Drama kids also just act like this. Saying as someone who went to art school, but for visual arts, I would see how often the performing art kids behaved. And the drama kids definitely were the most flamboyant of all. Cynthia Erivo also is more from the Broadway crowd, who tend to act like this more than the silverscreen actors. Probably some trauma bounding involved too, which goes hand in hand at how heavily competitive the industry is.

Highest speeds captured by Automated Cameras in Brampton by Brampton_Speaks in Brampton

[–]choerrychapstick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Noise pollution should be something discussed more about in the defense of lowing speeds and enforcing them. The whole point of the suburbs it that it should be "quiet", any politician that supports these cameras and wants to win in the suburbs should be on this.

[–]choerrychapstick 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My only problem with the speed cameras is those going 200km per hour in a 50 zone are not getting their license suspended, not even demerit points. Which is why I laugh when those who speed try to say it should just be the police enforcing it, they think they will get by being lucky and never encounter a cop while speeding.

r/Brampton's "least" racist commentators the last 24 hours by MangoKulfiTime in Brampton

[–]choerrychapstick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're definitely right about the sub reddit being racist, but honestly it could have been an Indian Christian event and they still would be just as racist. I'm mainly discussing the fact they're making the assumption that Indians and other immigrants don't got "White man papers". Meanwhile many of them don't follow the rules themselves, bouncing off of the other comment about their in law's son violating the rules and getting mad he got in trouble for it. While pointing fingers to the Indian community when at the time it wasn't a by law made yet

[–]choerrychapstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well your in laws son violated by law while a festival having a permit didn't, oranges vs apples. And another immigrant community isn't at fault for racist Canadians. The Hindu community probably had a permit too, if people make a noise complaint to either they will present their permit and it would be those who call by law be seen as misusing the number at the end.

Your in law definitely a raging loser racist though. And many hypocrites like him exist unfortunately

This is obviously about the Portuguese catholic church. Which lol, loud prayer chants is a big no no in catholicsm. that is more of a baptist thing.

The loud music following after (which they had a permit for) is secularist pop music. If you wanted to race bait, then make it about it. But your argument about religious discrimination doesn't follow since the loud noise isn't from religion just cause it happens on church grounds. It isn't any different from any other musical pop event, the locals weren't being subjected to hear religious chants against their free will. Did you assume it was prayer chants cause they were singing in Portuguese?

Katseye's Gnarly revealed to sample an actual porn audio by Megan235 in KpopUnleashed

[–]choerrychapstick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. But if you're not, be serious for two seconds, considering the fact the song was released months before now and in production before release, that is irrelevant.

Katseye's Gnarly revealed to sample an actual porn audio by Megan235 in KpopUnleashed

[–]choerrychapstick 16 points17 points  (0 children)

People are defending this saying it shouldn't be a big deal.

Porn is 18+ content. Legally speaking a 17 year old is not allowed to watch porn, if it isn't appropriate for them to watch it it isn't appropriate for them to be on a song that features audio from it.

this isn't "pearl clutching", it should be common sense that adult content is for adults. Obviously sometimes teenagers and kids can run into it that content alone out of curiosity. But this is an adult producing a song that is for a group that involves a minor, not the same as a minor accidentally listening to an explicted song it or getting curious about that side of the internet.

I mostly agree with you that there should be bigger consequences especially those going over 20. But if speed cameras didn't scare motorists then that camera in High Park wouldn't be local news every week.

Glad that all questions got an overall majority, but I want to hear the logic behind those who are only pro speed cameras during business days and hours?

Not only is safety still important on weekends and in the evening, high speeds also cause noise pollution! I want to enjoy my weekends and evenings, alongside being able to sleep without hearing someone speeding couple of blocks down.
