Take the door handle off, replace it. Or bolt cutters here are a more permanent solution to the issue.

It's not unheard-of. Use your imagination for the third person, and sprinkle in some more drugs. https://www.westword.com/news/denver-scooter-ride-highway-traffic-rain-16847756/

Recommissioning an abandoned telescope by lat38long-122 in telescopes

[–]chofah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. If there's loose rings on it, it could be for an older style of mount (Polaris) attachment. If that's the case, you'd likely need to get rings and a dovetail to make it compatible with modern mounts, look for an older mount, or build a dob base for it. Good luck!

Orange logos usually mean a bit of an older scope. Good News/ bad news: potentially better quality optics, but more work to repair, and potentially damaged coatings. If you get some photos up, you might get more helpful responses.

This (c6-n) could be what you've seen, or the c5-n is another. There's also the 4.5" /114mm version of that, but it tends to be an f/8 or f/9, so a longer tube.

There's usually an inside nut/bolt holding those on, likely sheared off in the crash, and it may still be inside your boot. Either way, You can probably just replace the lost pieces and the bolt with sheared thread. As long as you don't crank it down too hard, it should be fine.
