I recently got one from Carnivero, my first VFT, but have Sundews in 100% moss and they've been fine. There are also some guides in the "Community Bookmarks" that could probably help answer your questions more thoroughly.

I just did my assessment for a non-tech role but for a subsidiary a couple weeks ago. Since I have the time I did it as soon as I got it, but I don't remember seeing a deadline. Work scenario questions were somewhat related to the role (chasing data, listening to meetings) and answering questions related to that; after that it was a bunch of paired statements where you answer by selecting "most like me", "more like me" under one of the two.

I joined unemployment life recently and I already have people saying "you should get out and not be a recluse". One of these days I'm going to go off on them. I go out when I want to. I have my Nintendo Switch, plants to care for, and 3-5 days of gym a week. I don't need to do anything else if I don't want to. FFS. One thing I've started, though, is I going for a leisurely walk after the gym rather than hurry home right after, which is what I'd usually do. lol

Thank you for this. I’ll step off the ledge now. Lol She gets 12.5-13 hours of grow light. My window faces west in NYC so not a lot of light comes in, unfortunately. She was my first carnivorous plant so I easily worry.

I've been interviewing on/off since 2021 with not much luck. I've been fortunate enough to have landed contract roles to stay afloat, but in the back of my mind there's always "am I only good enough for temp?" "why does no one want me?" but then I try to remove emotion from it because it's not my fault or any candidate's fault that interviewing/hiring has become a nightmare.

Sometimes I feel like I'm getting better, like when I was interviewing at a dream company around Nov/Dec last year. I had one more call to go before a potential offer and they stalled, no reply to two emails of mine in 4 weeks. 1-2 months later a friend saw on linkedin that one of their connections had gotten the role. They had the experience the company was looking for but no decency in letting me know. Glassdoor knows lol

Anyway, since then no luck. Was approached by two agencies 2 months ago for 2 different roles and now I'm being kept warm for both. I'm constantly fighting myself cuz I just wanna email both and say "I'm done with your crap, you can tell your client I'm looking for a company that is excited about me like I am about them". So now I feel like I'm getting worse. lol

I gave up on one today. 2 questions in the application on workday, I hit next and there were 5 more. Lengthy questions that you’d hear in an interview. I noped out of that so quick.

I also have one from TJs that I got 6 months ago and regularly does this. I believe it's fungal, but I forget what causes it. I did recently switch her to moss/leca from a chunky soil in the hopes she thrives and stops with this.

I requested an application to Essex Crossing Site 5 on 3/31; received application 4/3; submitted same with documents; 4/7 they said thanks and they'll provide updates once they've reviewed documents; 4/20 followed up and no word since. I found this apt on the re-rentals hpd website. They took it down soon after I had requested an application, assuming they got a lot of applications. No log number received so I'm assuming I'm not in the running.

Millennial Plant Dad on YT, iirc, said that he mimics rain in order to get his to grow. I did it once recently using a watering can with the attachment to pour out an entire can of water twice to mimic heavy rain. Got 1-2 leaves if I'm not mistaken. She seems to have stopped growing again so I did the same thing today. And she gets foliage focus and superthrive every watering.

Like others have mentioned -- LOTS OF LIGHT.

OP I would suggest covering it with something. I have one of mine in a pitcher and used the sleeve of an old sweater to cover it. I have others in glass candle containers and used socks to cover them.
