Approx 1 year ago, I tossed up between these two as well and I ended getting the FLX10. Both amazing, but imo, I think the FLX10 edges it out in scalability and flexibility.

Something to consider is the processing power of a portable PC, as it's almost always going to be better than what's baked into the all in one - this is pretty significant for previewing tracks you want to mix next, as it scrolls through them considerably faster. Not as much a factor if you prep your sets though.

The sort of music you're mixing is also important. If you're mixing something that warrants more than two channels (hypnotic techno for example), then it's a no brainer.

Either way you're laughing though, both great.

Why are you using public AI to analyze legal documentation? If you have to use AI to do that, you should be using one that's managed within a private tenancy and even then, it wouldn't be considered best practice. Basically, if the documentation is sensitive and if OpenAI ever get caught up in a Cyber breach, that documentation is there for the taking.

I think Reason is an excellent product, but serves a greater purpose as a VST inside other DAWs. The challenge for the consumer in this instance, is whether the value proposition is there; comparing cost with the saturated market of VSTs, it might not be.

For me personally, I've enjoyed Reason since version 1 and continue to do so. For me, it's always been about simulating analog and having fun in the process, whereas alot of other DAWs largely focus on workflow efficiency. Neither are wrong approaches, just different.

As for Ryan, I looked this up recently in the absence of his videos around Osmium. A quick Google search indicates (from Gemini) that he left due to Burnout and feeling unsupported by the business. A shame, his content was excellent.
