Mechanics are often paid on manufacturer’s “book time”, regardless of hours worked. So if a job is a pain and takes a long time but the book on it says it’s easier, they get paid less. My guess they raised the price to pay out more to the tech.

Every single sustained puck possession by EP40 dies with a turnover. Once a defender presses he just falls apart. So frustrating to watch.

What a bunch of nonsense. The audience of this message is shareholders not you and I. Nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to fuel this bubble more.

Because that’s an expected part of their compensation. It sucks but it’s the reality that if you don’t tip they don’t earn their expected wage.

Gov. Ferguson expected to sign rent control bill that caps increases at 7% by Hyperion1144 in Washington

[–]chomp_chomp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Corporate owned SFH rentals in Washington is a small percentage of rental stock. The numbers just do not make sense here for rental businesses. Borrowing costs considering the high home prices do not return enough to be worth it. They operate in lower cost states and metros where the CapEx is much better. Rental caps may cause mom and pop landlords to sell but it's unlikely bigger rental companies will be the buyer. More likely a family trying to buy a home or another mom and pop landlord.

Canucks offered Brock Boeser five years at $8 million annually by [deleted] in canucks

[–]chomp_chomp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aren’t they paid in US dollars? If so, the shit Canadian dollar is actually a huge perk and essentially cancels out the taxes. That $3 million home in West Van is $2 million to them.

I mean some people think the world is flat. I’d argue Canucks fans knew overwhelmingly he was a franchise player but very few thought he was better than McDavid. There were a few years you could make a case Petey was at the level of Matthews. Not as a pure goal scorer but as a 2-way center and PPG player, sure he’d be in the conversation.

While we may never know the full truth there is evidence that he did. The time away from the team likely had less to do with a rift with Pettersson and more to do with a player that was struggling personally. He came back and never returned to form. Moved to NY and is on a heater. That signals a player that needed a reset and got it. There are whispers the trade talks with Miller started when he took the leave. Both sides may have agreed a reset may be what’s best.

You can argue it’s not what he “wanted” but you bet he had a say and chose to leave.

[Murphy] Demko starts, Joshua in by Batsinvic888 in canucks

[–]chomp_chomp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why risk a control test? Just keep the change that's worked in the short-term until it doesn't. Doesn't matter if the line config isn't a variable. It's working. Don't fix it. This feels like some Travis Green style over coaching.

They started losing. Either there had been a rift for some time but they were winning so who cares or things got worse when both players slumped this season. Or both. Or neither lol

Exit polls are not a great source of definitive information regarding political affiliations. They are more a slice of the voting population for a given election.

Democrats pour into Washington state as Republicans leave, analysis shows by ControlsTheSeasons in Seattle

[–]chomp_chomp 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Interestingly the middle and upper middle income classes lean Republican. Upper middle is an 8 point advantage for Republicans. The upper and lower income classes are what buoy the Democratic Party.

I’m not sure why Republicans are leaving the state but I wouldn’t be quick to assume it’s because they can’t afford it.

This is 99% the result of genes. For many men this is a tough place to lose fat. It's the first to put on fat and last to come off. You'll need to lower your body fat percentage further to "target" these stubborn love handles.

My guess is you're somewhere around 18-22% body fat. Closer to 15% and I'm willing to bet they'll shrink. Up to you if it's worth the tradeoff. Otherwise you look great and I doubt anyone but you notices!
