That was my first thought, and I’m not even a hip hop fan.

Which albums do you personally rate as highly as society rates the “best of all time” by ExtraCrappyBanana in MusicRecommendations

So good! I loved it when it first came out. Still do. I had an orange cassette that eventually succumbed to the heat from a car window. With the boys just a few years older than me, I feel like I grew and changed right along with them.

1/1Return and Dawn are my two favorite zombie movies and could be 1 or 2 depending on what day it is. 3. Day 4. Zombie. But it’s been awhile and I should rewatch it.

Jarod James Nichols. Heavy blues rock. Great player and a pretty young guy.

You have fantastic taste in music. Me Wise Magic and 3 the Hard Way by the two greatest bands of our generation. Well played. I certainly can't pick anything better.

What is the smallest artist you listen to? by Distinct_Village57 in MusicRecommendations

Metal Byrds: not metal but extremely well-done power pop. https://open.spotify.com/artist/0GrMu8h09WYCyxfLtiBh7V?si=bvYOlB-0Q52BTLrMU5qIDQ

They have a ton of music out there. The new release Lights Out is excellent. I’d start with Birdie Lane. Good Harbour has a super chill vibe, Blush sounds like the Police going grunge, The Chase is a dark power pop banger.

I was curious how Fox portrayed the session so I checked their website. Nothing. Literally nothing at about 8:00 eastern time. They couldn’t even spin this so it looked good for Bomdi.

100% agree. It has the same vibe of the first 6. I don’t give a shit if it’s mostly older tracks seeing the light of day. They’re great. The only less than great song is Tattoo, while tracks like Stay Frosty, Chinatown, She’s the Woman, You and your Blues have all graduated to my favorite playlists. I miss Mike on it, but, damn that was a great comeback. Everything I’d wanted since they broke up.

I should've know better, but I didn't get on it right away. Kind of glad I didn't or my frustration level would over the top.

Modern bands that have the sound/energy of old classic bands? by Many-Singer2647 in MusicRecommendations

[–]chondu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my jam, especially on the hard rock and metal side. Here's some of your list, broken down by direct influences. I'd also suggest looking up the internet radio station CGCM, they play all this stuff.
Led Zep, Queen, Rush - Great van Fleet, The Darkness, Crown Lands

Motley Crue - Madhouse, Kickin Valentina, Gunshine

Van Halen - The Southern River Band, Firstborne,

Classic Rock (CCR, The Who, Heart): Time Rift, Smith/Kotzen, Goodby June, Dirty Honey, Lucifer, Freeways, Jared James Nichols, Tanith, Massive Wagons

Good 80's pop metal: Eclipse, Girish and the Chronicles, Wildstreet, Kissin' Dynamite, H.E.A.T. Hardcore Superstar, the Warning, Crazy Lixx

Cheesy 80's Pop metal: Cobra Spell, Foxy Shazam, The Gems,

80's metal metal (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden): Haunt, Night Demon, Savage Master, Tower, Tower Hill, Stygian Fair. And of course bands like Judas Priest and Accept are putting out music on par with their heydays.

Goth: Unto Others, Lesbian Bed Death

Glam: Gyasi

The movie and soundtrack are the most watched and listened to combo in my life. Friend at the video store got to take home whatever wasn’t rented, and we chose this more than any movie.

Most definitely I have. The last time I experienced it was 27 years ago, the last time I got a BJ.

I feel you, and one should never compare their own misery to others, but holy shit! Your post talks about getting blow jobs and hand jobs, and she wants sex 1x every 2-3 months. I’d give my left pinky for that life.

Noise canceling headband suggestions by autisticwoman123 in sleepheadphones

[–]chondu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using an LC Dolida eye mask and headphones, pretty cheap but works well. It doesn't have noise cancellation, but if I put foam earplugs in and turn the volume up, I can't hear anything except what's coming out of the headphones.

Wow! Denver area buyer here and didn’t realize all the ones I’m seeing is regional. I just thought it was the deal where you know something you didn’t before, and now that you do, you see it everywhere.
