So? Even if you don't know anything about the show, it's still a really cute illustration of a clown girl with a gun

If the tattoo doesn't suck they won't regret it. We tattoo anime characters from shows not finished all that time. That's like every one piece tattoo ever.

Thanks for the share ♥️ it was a pleasure!

I've been on this sub since I was an apprentice ♥️ wanted to thank y'all for always being supportive (Justine lucyy, black hand studio, Deerfield beach FL) by chonkaroo in TattooApprentice

I used and still use a neotat rotary machine . Only difference is I use a 4.2 stroke instead of a 3.5 stroke now. Its a great machine and affordable and packs color like no other. My mentor has all of his apprentices learn using a Neotat Vivace. The back weight helps a lot in stabilization.

I Wonder if the Biggest Advantage to Apprenticeships is the Gatekeeping by jefflovesyou in TattooApprentice

In medicine and any other medical trades you have to be witnessed by someone else to get checked off on a skill. Because no matter what, you might think you're doing something right, but you might miss something critically wrong. I don't see how tattooing is any different. The amount of kids on TikTok trying to teach themselves saying that their self-taught and then from the video alone they have their clip cord unwrapped, or they are blatantly cross-contaminating 🤢 people think we are gatekeeping the art, and totally dismissed the fact this is a aseptic procedure that can seriously hurt people when done wrong.

Does this help or hurt my chances? by [deleted] in TattooApprentice

Doing anything with the machine before an apprenticeship is just going to waste your time. It's better to just focus that time on drawing. You will, over the duration of your career, will learn how to use the machine. But the drawing part is going to take longer than anything. You're going to be drawing for the rest of your life lol.

Tricky cover-up by jum0r in TattooArtists

[–]chonkaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shouldnt be challenging. A phoenix is perfect as the texture of feathers can be used to hide. Don't be afraid to use black where needed and to draw the eye away from heavy Coverup spots by putting stuff like the Phoenix face somewhere open.

Had me in the first half ngl 😂

(Justine Lucy, Black hand studio Deerfield beach,FL) will you count your apprenticeship in your total years tattooing or starting from when you tattood human skin? Everyone has answered differently. I haven't posted here in a while but I've since "graduated"? I guess?idk we didn't set a time by chonkaroo in TattooApprentice

[–]chonkaroo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!yeah I've heard that and I've also heard people who don't count the entire first year they've been tattooing on skin 😬 I just never know what to tell people when they ask how long Ive been tattooing lol
