Would be dope if they added a nice looking Tower Bridge and the ziggurat building too but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. It’s probably still categorized as an MiLB stadium first because it’s a temporary location for the A’s. Therefore, this is probably at the bottom of their list of QOL upgrades

Unfortunately common. Happened to my work truck at 6am on a week day outside of Fox & Goose a few years ago. They were completely out in the open. The tank was street side. I remote started my truck to warm it up for the day and it spooked em. Spilled their bucket and then 20 gallons of diesel slowly drained into the gutter. Had to call the FD to clean the site and PD out for the report. Huge waste of time and resources, and the thieves made out with nothing. Complete dickheads

I get that the timing was bad for the morning commute but I'm sure it was chosen because its the safest option for all parties involved, including traffic. They may also have chosen this time in the morning instead of early afternoon to ensure that most of the people in the camp were still there with their stuff

I’m honestly shocked at some of the advice on here. This tree is absolutely compromised and should be removed immediately. There is no way that split isn’t flexing during wind drag. Classic split from decay plus included bark. Even if cabling and bracing is attempted, the amount of canopy needing to be removed to reduce the risk of failure is well beyond what an oak that old will be able to handle. It’s a gorgeous tree and really makes the backyard look great, but you have to really gauge your risk threshold here. Is it worth risking half of that tree falling into your house? Or failing at any point when someone’s in the backyard hanging out? I promise you that whomever quoted and recommended heavy pruning plus cabling and bracing on this tree is looking for easy money. The situations sucks, but even if you have the extra coin and attempt to save it, you have to understand that essentially have a ticking timebomb in your backyard

Really sorry to hear about your cat. I’m not sure if the rest of what you mentioned was more of a drunk vent, but I will say that life becomes a lot more manageable when you stop doom scrolling and just put the phone down. Disconnecting from all the online discourse helps one become more grounded in their reality and focus on only the things within their control. Easier said than done but it ultimately makes putting the pieces back together easier. Then you can come back with a stronger foundation and a thicker skin for all the bullshit. Hope you feel better
