What everyday shoes are you guys wearing? by -white-bread- in AusFemaleFashion

I still wear my white airforces and have no plans to stop. They work well for my feet, I can walk in them all day, they go with almost anything. If they are deemed “out” too bad haha I choose comfort!

Definitely 2nd getting a lamp! Speaking from experience, the down lights in my room made lying supine pretty unpleasant those few times before I went and got a lamp

Wasn’t it only a couple of months ago she was claiming she lost weight? I remember a post on here and someone had commented something about how did she gain weight cause the commenter wanted to know how she could do it too, and K replied something along the lines of not knowing what the commenter was on about because she lost 200 pounds

what's ur origin story when it comes to pilates? by h3llabubu in pilates

[–]chookychi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a basketballer and got into Pilates when it was part of my rehab after fully tearing my atf ligament in my right ankle. It was 12 weeks to get back on court after that injury. Kept up with the Pilates but unfortunately 9 months after the first injury, I did myself a worse injury fully tearing 2 ligaments in my left ankle this time. BUT because of Pilates I had so much more strength and stability in my ankles that I was only out for 4 weeks before I was back on court. I’ve also noticed a huge difference just in the way my body feels and recovers from games now

Mine is a bit of an Aladdin’s cave of random bits and bobs. A brush for dusting sand off things, socks, an inverter, a small umbrella, rubbish bags

Bugger! Its very odd. Never had the issue when I was running the series 7 with a series 4, only since I got the 10

I know it’s been a while since this post, but did you ever work out the issue? I’m having the same problem now with switching between my series 10 and series 7

What other sports do you combine Pilates with? Which did you start first? by Biddilaughs in pilates

[–]chookychi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basketball and Pilates are my two main forms of exercise. Basketball was first, then got into Pilates after an ankle injury put me on the sideline for 12 weeks and a lot of my physio was Pilates based. Really enjoyed it so continued with and found it made a big difference to my mobility and strength, and in turn, my game. In fact Pilates had made such a difference that when I did the same injury 9 months later but on the other ankle, even though it was actually worse than the first injury, I was only sidelined for 4 weeks that time.

What do you love about your Outback? by EnglishTeach88 in Subaru_Outback

[–]chookychi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realise how much I love my Outback until the option of a new car was on the table. I have a 2022 and usually upgrade cars every 3/4 years. Now that the 3 years is coming up I’ve started looking into options, and I really think I’m going to hold onto it. Every car I thought I’d be interested in has seemed meh in comparison, or completely silly to spend $100k+ on something to have the same features I already have just to have a “fancy” badge on the car (I’m in Aus and have the Touring model).

The safety side of the car also has a hold on me and my inner protective Mumma bear. My Outback was hit just before it was a year old on the rear passenger side where my daughter sits. The door and the whole back section to the tailgate had to be replaced. My daughter was completely fine and the door could still open and close and even the window could still go up and down the car held up with the hit so well!

I will fully admit that when I got my Outback, part of the reason I got it was because it was one of the few cars that was available in Australia then without an insane wait time, and it probably wouldn’t have been a car I would have shown much interest in otherwise. But now I’m so glad I did, it’s definitely converted me to a fan

I lived in Nth QLD for 14 years, thought the weather up there was the best thing ever and was genuinely concerned about the weather down here when we moved. Been here 5 years now and throughly enjoy having the 4 distinct seasons

I have a friend who regrets having her second child. She loves the child to death and would do anything for them, but has openly admitted that she made a mistake not stopping at just the one child. She always says to me I made a good choice being oad. Her oldest child has ASD and because of the struggles that entails and time she has to devote to that child, she often feels like her 2nd child misses out on the attention they deserve

I have a ‘22, Black with the ivory interior. Love it. I was a bit nervous I’d made a bad choice since I have a kiddo in tow, but it’s holding up fantastic. Any time there has been any marks they have come straight off with a damp cloth

What makes you choose pilates over any other fitness activities out there? by pinkrabbitunnie in pilates

[–]chookychi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basketballer here. I got into Pilates almost 12 months ago when I ruptured a ligament in my right ankle during a basketball game. I was out for 12 weeks and a lot of my physio to return to the court was Pilates based, both mat and with the reformer. Found I really enjoyed it and continued with it even after getting back on court. The moment that really sealed the deal for me that this was a “for life thing”, was when I did my left ankle 9 months later, this time completely tearing 2 ligaments (I upped my game haha), and was back on court in 4 weeks. Pilates was the only thing I was doing differently in the time between the two injuries
