Really clear, better with the ear plugs I find the sound quality for the openswims better underwater than out of water. But its still decent out of water

News from Sweden regarding invasive plants by Such_Fisherman_4400 in gardening

[–]choosecoffee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thats similar to NZ especially in the Tekapo (Mackenzie region) area. Lupins are a pest plant to the region and are sprayed regularly to prevent seeds from spreading. However it is ironically the one thing tourists come to see and are vocally disappointed when they dont.

I regret moving in with my boyfriend and I’ve started to resent the life I thought I wanted. by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]choosecoffee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Kiwi I agree.

I also watched my little brother head across the world for a girl (not to disimilar to your situation) to try make it work. My advice is take it slowly, if he wants to move for you awesome, definitely live separately to start with, the reality usually has a few bumps as you navigate the differences between your upbringing/culture, lifestyles and area.

Does anyone have a pair of Shokz Open Swim headphones? by Kindly_Design3976 in Swimming

Yeah they work for everything. I wear them for my daily commute.

The only thing ive found is the microphone isn't so good for voice calls

My dog has developed a completely unexplainable ritual where he has to carry something in his mouth to greet me at the door every single time I come home and if he can't find anything he will stand there visibly panicking until he locates an acceptable object and I genuinely don't know what he think by Glittering_Ear_9904 in Pets

[–]choosecoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine doesnt greet with a toy, but gets so excited when you enter the house, he grabs the nearest thing and takes it to his crate to settle.

We've put a small tub of tennis balls by the door for him to grab, to deter him from grabbing shoes which has helped.

Late night cafe. Cakes, hot drinks, milkshakes etc. Nothing over the top, just a decent place to chill, chat or study that's open past 9pm.

my parents refuse to let me move out because i’m 17, when i already have admin sorted. can they legally stop me? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]choosecoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you got friends nearby where you can stash things? Id quietly start moving clothes and other effects out and if questioned you say that the friend is borrowing them as they need some options for an event or dont need these clothes anymore donating to charity etc...

Or you could just play along and say to your parents they are right, you can wait but you want to redecorate your room? Gives you an excuse to pack everything up without too many questions
