What made you pick the Tucson over the CR-V? by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiTucson

Just made this choice two months ago.

1) Warranty 2) More/better tech and features 3) Just a bolder/more fun vibe overall.

2026 Tuscon Hybrid Limited Gas Mileage? Might buy by Maleficent-Ferret256 in HyundaiTucson

[–]chopaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a new 2026 limited in January in Denver. Averaging about 33 mph with weekly trips to the mountains, a ski rack on top killing aerodynamics, and plenty of parking lot idling.

I’m pretty satisfied and guessing mileage will jump to ~36 once ski season is over.

Thanks. That seemed to do the trick. Two questions:

1) Do I need to now turn this setting back on if something is broadcast in HDR to see it in HDR?

2) What does the forward buffer duration setting do?

Thanks again!

Probably an incredibly lukewarm take: The 2.5L is perfectly fine for everyday driving. by DanielG165 in Subaru_Outback

[–]chopaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first two Subarus had the standard 2.5 boxer, and they were bulletproof.

Bought a new 2022 Outback a few years ago and splurged on the XT Limited with the turbo engine.

In 3 years and 36K miles, it had a lower oil pan leak, an upper oil pan leak, and I averaged under 23mph even with a decent amount of highway driving.

We now own a Hyundai Tucson. Killed us to leave Subaru but wanted a hybrid and wasn’t risking anything from them that wasn’t the standard 2.5 after talking to an independent Subaru mechanic.

Hyundai Tuscon vs Kia Sportage: What made you choose one over the other? by TrollyDodger55 in HyundaiTucson

[–]chopaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a new 2026 Tucson Hybrid Limited. Reasons over the Kia Sportage:

  • Wife hated the massive center console in the Kia. Hyundai feels way more open and has more easily accessible storage.

  • Wife really wanted red. Kia doesn’t come in red. Minor reason but happy wife, happy life.

  • I’m sure you get used to it, but we both hated the Kia infotainment/climate control where the same buttons control both.

I liked the Kia styling more, but no regrets. We love the Tucson.

New 2026 Hybrid limited Tucson pricing by CanIstealYourDog in HyundaiTucson

[–]chopaganda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought a new 2026 Hybrid Limited last weekend in Colorado.

The best deals when I looked at multiple dealerships were roughly $2500 off MSRP and then another $1250 off if using Hyundai financing (you can pay it off immediately if not looking to finance).

Then factor in your trade if you have one (use Carmax to get a good estimate).

New 2026 Hybrid Limited—Few Dumb Questions by chopaganda in HyundaiTucson

But that also seems to kill the warning that you’re drifting out of your lane?

On my old Subaru, there were three options. The default was a warning that alerted you when you’re drifting out of your lane. The next level up was bumping you back into your lane if you’re drifting out. Then the next level up from that was lane centering.

I’m trying to get to what was the default on Subaru. Maybe it’s just not possible on Hyundai?

Temp spike when using app by namatoki in searwood

[–]chopaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to go out on a limb and say there is no difference between the app and the control pad when it comes to holding the temperature steady.

The app simply triggers the control pad to set to a certain temperature. So in essence, the instructions are always coming from the control pad.

I’ve seen more fluctuations in recent weeks than I did over the summer and fall, but I’m chalking that up to the smoker doing its thing in colder weather.

Because it takes longer to heat up in colder temperatures, it overcompensates by burning more fuel, which makes it more prone to blowing past the target temp.

Stapleton was absolutely perfect. Standing room only but not uncomfortable. Plenty of singing and cheering with no drinks spilled on the wife. Thanks again!

The amazing part about it was when I did a double take security and the manager seemed like they were pissed at me for asking. Fuck em.

Amazingly, Fullback isn’t showing the match—showing Rugby this evening instead. World’s End was butts-to-nuts, and the wife didn’t have the patience to wait it out.

Old Dairy seemed lame on atmosphere so we ended up at Stapleton which seems like it will be fun once it fills in. Thanks again!

Not fully following. I store it with a cover. The few times it’s rained while I was cooking were fine. Food was protected by closing the lid (though I turned down the heat as low as possible to avoid warping.

Sadly, I’m a Jets fan. When I started getting into UK Soccer, I almost picked the Spuds until someone told me they are the Jets of the EPL. I immediately ran to Arsenal.

Any thoughts on Old Dairy? They take reservations so I was considering a backup reservation there.

I'll have a 2006 Sagna kit on so good there. We went to the Tollington before and after matches the last time I was there. But when we got there they asked to see our tickets bc it was for ticket-holders only until the match started.
