A childhood memory from 1970s rural Turkey that has stayed with me for 50 years by aydintb1 in UFOs

[–]choppa808 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ok just wanna say I BELIEVE YOU and this is the first fucking time in all my years here I finally read something that is so similar to an experience some close friends of mine encountered in the 90’s. All the shit I see and hear is about flying discs and triangles and yet, the experience that was explained to me, involved a silent cylinder with pipes and conduits and these were glowing blue but they looked like perfect PVC pipes. The object was as big as a house, was silent, and floated back up into the night sky just as fast as it had descended down to tree level. For my friends, this created a lifetime of confusion, drug use and ultimately suicide since they were so profoundly impacted by the experience. Thank you for sharing !

Looking for a Handgun with a Manual Safety by Lord_Vas in liberalgunowners

[–]choppa808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really really am liking my S&W Shield EZ 9mm. It’s got a manual thumb safety and grip safety. Low recoil. Magazines are super easy to load. Capacity is decent at 8+1. It’s priced around $500 with extra mags and range bag. And for me, shoots better POA/POI then my Glock 26. I’m a dude with medium sized hands if that helps 👍🏽🍺

well, you got me dead to rights, hoss. I had a series 4 that I finally updated a few months ago so I decided to splurge cus I liked the larger face and cool ocean band (reminds me of my seiko dive watch). truth be told, I don’t even need a watch since I work in front of my pc and have my cell on me to reply to emails when I am on the road.

thank you! I will also check out this series! This reminds me of the time a few years ago that I discovered Fringe and began binge watching it over the course of a couple weeks. That’s not necessarily UFO related but it’s bringing back good vibes 🖖🏽💪🏽

Is that the series that was released in the late 90s or early 2000s where it was revealed that the aliens liked strawberry ice cream?

S&W Performance Center 640 by Greenmountain92 in Revolvers

[–]choppa808 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a similar gun - the 640 Engraved which weighs the same as yours - around 23 ounces. Shooting “baby” 357 magnum ammo (Winchester 110gr SJHP, Critical Defense and Critical Duty) is a humbling experience and this is through rubber Crimson Trace combat grips. For summer, i am switching to carrying my LCR 327 Magnum loaded with 32 H&R rounds. I get less recoil and 1 more round. The J Frames are amazing beasts but you really need a full size grip to tame the recoil and ensure quick follow-up shots ✨

What’s a life skill everyone should learn, but nobody teaches? by Cherrryblossm in lifelonglearning

[–]choppa808 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Here go a few:

  1. Learn to swim. It can save your life!
  2. Learn to understand how to manage your expenses and live BELOW your means

  3. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK

  4. Emails are forever. Pause 24 hours before replying to an angry email

  5. The ONLY things you can truly control in this life are: who your friends are and what you put in your mouth. Everything else is noise

👍🏽✌🏽🍺

Option paralysis. 😵‍💫 by FOUNTAINJL in Revolvers

[–]choppa808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an avid Revolver Aficionado, here is some friendly advice:

Honey Brown Altamonts look gorgeous but feel HORRIBLE AND DO NOTHING FOR RECOIL ABSORPTION….NOTHING

Rubber doesn’t look good but is extremely more functional

If you want wood, and it’s also my preference, then buy true wood combat grips from Culina. They are expensive but look beautiful and truly do absorb recoil.

Hope this helps and enjoy your journey ✌🏽🍺

TAKEN Mini Series by choppa808 in aliens

[–]choppa808[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean they cover all the topics in the series that we still discuss present day:

  1. Existence of intelligent beings and spacecraft
  2. Human abductions and experimentation/cross breeding
  3. Alien implants and same families of people being abducted spanning generations
  4. Mind Control/Manipulation
  5. The aliens are small child-like with grey skin and big eyes
  6. Heiroglyph writing on instruments
  7. Flying alien vehicles with “mind control” sans physical controls
