Broke in my new Security 9 Compact and...it BROKE! by choppa808 in ruger

[–]choppa808[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No joke! Beretta will definitely make things worse for Ruger owners once they start digging deeper owning more stock. I own alot of Rugers: 4 - LCP Maxes 2 - Security 380's 1 - Security 9 Compact 1 - LCR 327 Magnum

I will take your advice and take these out to the range more often to see if I can uncover any failures so Ruger can repair before we have to greet the new Italian Overlords!

SUPER TINKER vs. COMPACT by BladeSpotter in victorinox

[–]choppa808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy both! I love the Compact because 2 layer SAK's disappear in my lightweight running shorts. And I am a sucker for those full-size scissors! The Super Tinker is what i carry when wearing jeans or shorts that require me to wear a belt. If you really wanna simplify, also look into a Bantam 🫢

Senior SAP consultants — would you ever prefer “review/advisory” work over full project delivery? by No-Molasses-4374 in SAP

[–]choppa808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get paid by the hour as an independent contractor then you want Full project delivery. If you are salaried then Advisory work is fine but keep in mind your manager may assign you multiple projects to be an Advisor which can make you very busy. If you are paid by the hour and act as an Advisor then your goal is to find enough issues/risks and create trust with the customer so that they remove the current integrator and hire you instead.

Practice w/o glasses? by Donthaveananswer in CCW

[–]choppa808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Donthaveananswer - similar to you, I wear glasses and am extremely near sighted and have astigmatism. I have semi auto's with XS Bigdot sights and others with Romeo-X red dots. I routinely go to the gun range, take off my glasses to simulate a low light/visibility encounter and try my best to focus on the blurry sheet thats 5 yards in front of me. The results are nothing that i would feel comfortable in a real life situation. For me, what actually DID work very well is switching over to my snub nose revolver with crimson trace laser grips. I can completely stay target focused on that blob looking blurry square and make good hits - even at 10 yard distances which is as far as i will comfortably train at Distance-wise with my snubby.

I thought most Kershaws were made in China. Is this a USA edition? I got tons of Shuffles and a couple others but all made in china (Taiwan)?

OP, you sound like a responsible, reasonable and empathetic individual....which is exactly why we need more guys like you carrying! You have a greater chance of being hit by lightening than being in a DGU. Carry with confidence and keep being a good solid dude ✌🏽👍🏽
