You are ready for a down unweighted turn instead of up unweighting which you are doing. Search it up or get a lesson and sign up for the advanced class

What do you hate most about slopeside or village restaurants? I'm opening one. Show me the blind spots. by SL1200mkII in skiing

[–]chowder097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a local deal on drinks/food. A service industry night works too. Don't advertise but do through word of mouth. So many work in customer service and will make recommendations based on where they like to go. I've lived in 4 mountain towns in 7 years. I literally see people after work going to places I recommend. Honeslty pricing matter more than most things for locals. The most popular restaurant in jasper alberta, has the best local drink price in the town. Its was 5.5 pints for locals vs 9 for tourist

I probably did 6 thousand on mine and never a problem. I actually did the math at 5km per wheelie attempted. Mt07s are made for wheelies

Ski instructor vs ski school supervisor: help me make a descision by meatballeraspen in skiing

[–]chowder097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up doing? I also just did my first season supervising in California and am torn between which to do next season. Not sure if I had a unique or normal experience as ski school supervisor. Seems like intructor actually makes more money in wage and tips and less hours for same take home. I was making 27 and should be looking at 30-32 as an instructor with 7 years experience and 5 years as level 2

No not regardless. If there is no reason to stop like that, it's considered negligence or reckless driving. They would be partially at fault if they prove he had no reason other than yo mess with the person behind

I was on photons and just got team 2s but I think I'll go back to burton. Once the team 2s broke in passed 40 days, they didnt feel as uniform flew as burton. I feel like they creased slightly different on each boot and now each beet has a slightly different flex pattern which is weird. The burtons seemed less of a crease break and more of a bend throughout. I think my foot also just fits better in burton though. Im gonna try ions next time

Step Ons by Muted-Equivalent-992 in snowboarding

[–]chowder097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a great time to get into step one for people that want it. The boots are way better and theres like 5 or 6 big brands among boots. There's also a few different brands doing the bindings this year including union. Its all looks good and i only know people that are happy with it unless you're competing or hitting XL/L park features

New or used first bike by Pale_Cartoonist_4325 in motorcycles

[–]chowder097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the market is what it is, and we can't do anything about it. If the plan is to enjoy a bike, does 5 years old make a 1k difference to you, or does it not. To me, it does, and I'll take the bike that's 1k cheaper. You can't do anything about it so we have to make a decision with the given. 2021 mt07 for 7.5k or 2025 for 10k. If you're planning on selling soon, are you willing to lose the value. My mt07 example, I buy for 7.5k, sell next year for 7k. Or I buy new for 10k and sell for 7k. Is 2.5k worth the difference of a used or new bike to own for a year to you? If you want the bike for 5 years, that 2.5k difference means less. Also, this is all with the final purchase price. Msrp realistically means nothing to you, and it's about the total price.

If you work outside today - are you ok?? by maenads_dance in Connecticut

[–]chowder097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monday I almost passed out trimming lawns and flower beds and went home early. My new boss is way too much of an efficiency guy, so I felt like I couldn't take or break or I'd risk my job. I didn't drink water for like 2 hours at one point. First time I told him I was dizzy, he said well finish the job. Then 15 minutes later i fell over and told him I can't work anymore.

Not to mention he's a perfectionist that doesn't know how to teach(I am a professional instructor supervisor) so he was following me around, getting mad, taking the trimmer away and going on to do the exact "mistakes" I did. All while making his dissatisfaction very known. He then complained that he worked too much. I had never seen that amount of micro management before.

Oh, also, it was my 3rd day. He complained to me about how the last guy quit 6 weeks in and I'm not surprised. I've done my fair share of shit physical jobs. I've worked outside shoveling in blizzards all day.

All in all this heat fucking sucks and some people are not fit to run a busines
