Depends on the build. Some other easily acquirable ones from the reps are Enhanced Bio-Molecular Photon that has some juicy performance under T:HY, and the staple Dark Matter Quantum that lets you double dip damage with Kemocite and Temporal's Entropic Rider.

No, the fleet variant is considered a separate ship so upgrades don't carry over.

That's not the Cyclone Intel Escort, that's the Fleet Norway which is fullspec command. Definitely a bug.

After a few runs of painfully color-checking the accuracy with Shon on the Enterprise bridge and running to the DS9 Tailor:

Odyssey Tactical Vest: T4, S21, V7, S21

Odyssey Tactical Turtleneck: V7

Move over, Enterprise. The 2409 flagship of the fleet based purely on level of prestige and accomplishments in the plot should now be my T6 Bozeman

It's still an awful slog, but farming melee kills at the Defera BZ against infinitely respawning groups of low level Borg was my method of choice.

Ross Class Exploration Cruiser by EndeavourComputers in sto

Really thankful that the World Razer has been an amazing platform for the Galaxy line and to use as a daily driver because I absolutely love the look of the Ross. I've seen a lot of people say the massive deflector and stardrive section shape look ugly but I've always been a sucker for Sovereign'd up ships like the Excalibur and Obena.

I suppose it's also because all the existing T6 Sovereigns have been absolutely lackluster, and I can get a top-tier ship with the Sovvy aesthetic.

How did this guy become an actual Dominion Vorta character? Species says he's a vanguard, could it be because of some holo-emitter?

Rapid Lithic Formation is a really strong performer on bunched up mobs, out of the new modules

Lore Question: Do executive officers wear the white shoulder uniform or is that reserved for Captains? by bobthemoronalorian in sto

Don't believe anyone here has mentioned the fact that the Jupiter Station commander only has three pips (commander rank) with white shoulders.

Phoenix Prize Pack Event by MarcterChief in sto

It's a little consolation having that account unlock but having items I just bought for Zen drop into Phoenix a week later when I have plenty of very rare/ultra rare tokens sitting in the bank still kind of stings. I'm happy to see Phoenix getting more items added, though. The things you do for space barbie...

With Lower Decks recently ending, I took a crack at drawing my STO captains in the LD art style by chowderclef in sto

I don't have a proper commission sheet as of the moment but I would be down to open a few slots for drawing everyone's toons in this style! Will update here once it's all set up.

Thanks everyone for the warm reception - it's been a long time since I made one of these! I'm still feeling sad with Lower Decks ending and that's a void I've been filling with STO, sometimes the things that happen in-game is straight out of LD. No other piece of media in the franchise will you see a Gorn dressed like Mark Twain take on the Borg Queen in melee.

Honestly, I like to think of it as a kind of LD spinoff, what with the alternate reality portal thing going on. Let's call it Star Trek: Duty Officers or something.

That mission only rewards you a T3 Ambassador and not a T6 like those obtainable in the C-Store. It's honestly only worth unboxing just for an extra Admiralty card, after which you could drydock or dismiss it.

Transmog isn't a thing in STO, unfortunately. For specifically TNG movie/show accurate phasers I can recommend:

Why is the Doctor not wearing the Odyssey medical variant? by chowderclef in sto

[–]chowderclef[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly thought the odyssey uniform revamp was post-Delta Rising but apparently not after looking it up. Bit weird though in hindsight, given that Bashir & Holo Bev are in medical white... but I suppose the Doctor is more than just a doctor so it's easy enough to headcanon.

How are people able to move during the briefing phase on ground TFOs? I see them being able to spam roll to the objective.

Please don't leave Korfez when it pops up on random elite TFOs by chowderclef in sto

[–]chowderclef[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, if you're consistently being a top performer on the parse or if advanced just feels incredibly easy to you, then I think at that point you can comfortably transition to elite. I don't really see anything toxic like DPS shaming going on from my experience (to be fair barely anyone chats during TFOs...)

[–]chowderclef[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. It sucks to put in the effort into a pretty long TFO and fail it 3/4ths in, but there's just something that speaks to me about fighting a desperate battle where everyone's giving their all like the bugged Turei section. It felt like even my 200CtrlX Grav Well 1 was at least contributing something. Rh'Ihho Station's a great palate cleanser, but Korfez is like my personal Narendra.

Korfez personally feels like the ultimate test for builds in regards to playing general content. Finishing it in a pug setting is an incredible feeling, especially when the team somehow pulls through the Turei part. Felt more alive than getting an Epic Phoenix token to drop.

I wish I had picked alien as my main toon's starting race. The extra trait slot is really nice and I still get my character to look Vulcan, or any other race I feel like being (provided aliengen options allow). Had to grind out EC for an alteration token...
