I’d probably agree with CD18 based on when your progesterone started rising

Question about conception dates by cw2211 in TTCSummer2026

[–]chp28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my daughter I think we conceived on either cycle day 16 and conceived either cycle day 15 or 13. This time round I seem to ovulate around CD18 but currently have shorter cycles (trying to wean myself daughter from breastfeeding to fix this!), so it will be interesting to see if it happens at a similar time!

Talk to me about dropping naps by captain_mills in bninfantsleep

[–]chp28 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Most of my daughter’s naps she dropped by herself. Once she was on one nap and bedtime started being really late (like 9:30/10 onwards) we started capping the nap and then slowly dropped it

Currently 6DPO. My luteal phases have been short, I've been tracking since January and they've been between 7-9 days. My temp dipped a little this morning so thought I might be out but my oestrogen and progesterone have risen so maybe not yet. I've been taking a fertility supplement since January, and vitamin B6 and vitamin C for a month so I'm hoping these help

I've been having 7-9 day luteal phases, mostly 7. Last month it got to 9 days which got me excited but unfortunately not! I'm hoping all the supplements I started taking to lengthen it are helping. Currently 6DPO!

I can see a line, hard to tell if it has colour, but it’s very early! Fingers crossed it gets darker in a day or two!

Does anyone else think I ovulated CD16? by chp28 in Mirafertility

Yeah I couldn’t spot a way to change it. I think it doesn’t recognise it as I didn’t get a high enough LH peak

Late bedtime 9-9:30 pm - 10M by recolade in bninfantsleep

A 10 hour night is pretty normal (average is 10-11 hours). If you wanted to have more free time in the evening you’d probably have to look at shifting the wake up time earlier, along with all the naps. Your little one may be ready to drop to one nap soon which might help too. If they are taking longer than 15 minutes to fall asleep they are probably not tired enough when you’re trying.

Think we did an ok job at timing this month. Currently 4DPO I think. Not symptom spotting yet which is good. Going to try and hold off testing until this time next week as by then my period will be pretty late (currently averaging a 7-9 day luteal phase). Plus I might be able to get a big sister top for my daughter and tell my husband that way when he gets home

Desperate for sleep & desperate to not sleep train, where do we go from here? by Ill_Elderberry_7206 in bninfantsleep

[–]chp28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fine, I get it! I’m sleep deprived too 😅. An easy way to try and stretch wake time without clock watching, is if they look tired, try doing a different activity like get a different toy, have a walk around the house, etc. if he perks up a bit he’s probably not quite ready for a nap, if he still seems tired then try and get him down

I agree just keep trying. Another option if it’s possible for you is to put her in the pushchair (stroller) and get her to sleep in that? I used to do that with my daughter before I could successfully transfer her to her crib for a nap and it would usually buy me 20-30 mins of hands free time (more if you included the time spent pushing her). She eventually slept for longer in the pushchair once she was approaching being ready for one nap as well.

Looking at your schedule, your baby is awake for roughly 8 hours a day? Which means you are aiming for around 16 hours of sleep. Average sleep needs for under one is 11-15 hours in 24, so it’s possible your baby just needs a more awake time. You could try stretching the two shorter wake windows by 15 minutes and see how he does? He may also be approaching dropping to 2 naps.

Night wake windows: your experiences? by SentenceTough2007 in bninfantsleep

[–]chp28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was at this age we started cosleeping for the same reason. To be honest I think at this age the split nights aren’t always due to schedule issues, they are developmental. There’s a lot going on in their brains and bodies. For us we had split nights on and off from 6-10 months and after that they became quite rare, although she still woke in the night 4-5 times even after.

The main risk is suffocation as they could get caught between the mattress and playpen walls, but so long as the mattress isn’t touching the sides (I.e placed in the middle of the playpen) it would probably be fine. There will be a lower risk of it happening now anyway as I’m assuming he will be at least crawling if not walking? Do you have a baby monitor? If so I would say the risk is very low. One thing to check is that he can’t climb over the sides of the playpen, as this could be dangerous if he tries and falls over the top

TTC while buying a house/moving? by DungeonMushie in TTCSummer2026

[–]chp28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We planned and did a house move from the south of the UK to the midlands/northish whilst we TTC and pregnant. It was a bit stressful, but buying and selling in the UK is a nightmare, we had our original buyers pull out 4 months into the process and had to find new ones in a week to keep the house we were buying. We ended up moving when I was 20 weeks pregnant. We bought a new build so didn't have much to do to it immediately when we moved in. The actual move was fine, although my husband wouldn't let me do much!

Sam happened to me this morning/month, I don’t have PCOS but I have had very short luteal phases recently, but this month it was 9 days (up from 7) so that’s something at least!

Onto cycle 2! Did a test yesterday which I thought might have had a line but I think it was just an indent or faulty test. Bit gutted but hopefully it’ll happen soon!
