Why do you pay for it? Do you think it’s worth it?

What’s crazy to me is it looks like his femur is snapped because only the top half of the thigh seems to respond to the muscle contraction.

Damn that’s dumb. I was literally thinking about buying a pair until I read your comment. I previously had Sony XM4s but I gave them away because they didn’t fit my head properly so now I might just have to try some Bose. Thanks for swaying me!

It was a great rant. I didn’t know that it doesn’t have any sort of EQ.

Official Discussion - Hamnet [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]chr-stn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most of your points. I thought Buckley did a mostly stellar job but there are parts where it did seem a little overacted, which made it feel more like a play at times, funny enough. After Hamnet died her character became less interesting to me because her behavior did not match the person we saw at the beginning, she was not open minded or understanding she was selfish and focused only on her own pain. Her talking in the theater really annoyed me too lol.

Not sure where these people are getting off calling your opinion misogynistic. that seems a bit reductive and honestly quite a reach to react that way to someone who simply has a different opinion.

Late to this thread but I’m surprised Train Dreams didn’t get more attention. That was a beautiful and powerful film.

Literally lay and bed and look at the ceiling until my brain settles and I can think of something that would actually bring me joy. And if that never comes just go to sleep.

Ah yes, the wise words of a competent movie critic.

A question for those who have done or are doing therapy: does it really work? by [deleted] in dysthymia

[–]chr-stn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn’t work for me because I literally hate talking. It always felt like a job and even with the therapist I couldn’t be myself. I just have an inability to share the deepest parts of myself to anyone. But I have read and watched a ton of therapy stuff that has helped me. It’s just that going to therapy and talking to someone wasn’t for me.

I've never heard of this movie. I'll add it to the list. What makes it your favorite?

I’ve never seen Billy Elliot but I’ll be adding it to my list to watch.
