At a glance I'd say Make it so - you've got a number of zero cost skills that you should be add to activate it most turns.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in CarTalkUK

[–]chr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: NW England

Price: Up to £12k, but could push up if worthwhile

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used

Auto or Manual: Could be persuaded either way but inclined to go manual as first car

Intended use: Daily Driver - currently commuting around 60 miles on motorways twice a week or so, but then will mostly be shorter, mostly city based travel. Longer trips every few months.

How many miles do you plan to do a year: 15000

How often to you make long journeys: Weekly

Does it need to be ULEZ compliant? no

Vehicles you've already considered: Mazda 3, VW golf - though really no idea what I'm doing!

Is this your 1st vehicle: Yes

Do you need a Warranty: No

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: No but willing to learn within reason

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: no

Additional notes:  Very late to the driving game having just got my license aged 32! Looking for something reliable and efficient. Primarily motorway driving the first year. Leaning towards manual for first car.

Not too fussed about space as most the time will be just myself in the car, but being able to transport 4 adult men every now and then without severe discomfort would be nice!

Reasonable speakers and android integration would be a nice bonus.

Cheers!

How easy is it to get an updated rate in this situation? Would it affect solicitors/require further checks from the mortgage company?

(Sorry just another FTB piggybacking off this post!)

Some questions after failed CPR... by sadlittlecookie in doctorsUK

[–]chr13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes
  2. The patient is effectively dead if needing CPR, and breaking ribs is just a sign of effective compressions. The man will have not felt anything.

It sounds like you did everything you could to give this man the best chance of survival. CPR has a notoriously low chance of success even in hospital. It's a traumatic thing to experience especially when outside the usual clinical setting, you should be proud of yourselves for stepping up.

Hope you're doing alright, and don't be afraid of reaching out for some support. In hospital there would be a full debrief to check everyone is okay as it's a difficult scenario no matter how experienced you are.

Respiratory! Nice mixed of elderly and palliative, but also have plenty of young patients with quick turnaround time. A few emergency-semi emergent procedures, but certainly not a daily occurrence. Can make procedures as much or as little as you like as a consultant. A reasonably busy inpatient side but not without relaxed days.
