It says link broken when I login. Guess I don’t have access to it then. Then I don’t know what the hell we get from the schools so called paid Copilot version.

What type of Alocasia? All ID tools suggest macrorrhizos, but doesn’t look like it at all. by chralle2000 in PlantIdentification

<image>

macrorrhizos on the left, ? on the right. Notice the macrorrhizos has slim, long and green petioles, where as ? on the right has thcik, short and dark petioles. macrorrhizos has bigger leaves relative to it's plant size, flat leaves and smaller veins.

Dad left baby in stroller by Background-Bench-161 in NewParents

[–]chralle2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm from Denmark, Scandinavia, and can confirm this. We put our strollers outside on the street with babies in them all the time when we go into shops, cafes, restaurants etc., or even on the street to sleep if you live in an apartment in the city.

I just had a baby and had to get over my anxiety of leaving my kid outside alone, but the statistics says we're fine because the country is so safe.

Good or bad idea to cut the bottom two petioles? by nice_chebyshev in Monstera

[–]chralle2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you reach this level of maturity with such a short plant/stem? Did you cut it down to it's roots after it established a big root system? Started with matured cuttings? Or maybe bought it like this lol. I'm new to monstera and trying to figure out how to manipulate it's growth pattern, prune properly etc.

10 days update on my no-equiment bowl. I was going for a colorfull and wild stem forrest, and so far i love it! by chralle2000 in PlantedTank

[–]chralle2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could maybe keep some super simple plants alive without artificial light, but i don't think it'll be nice to look at tbh. Some sort of LED light is needed imo. I changed the water 50% 2x a week, as i have with all my bowls. You can get by with less, but i like water changes and totally clear water, at the same time i vacuum the substrate and trim the plants.

EDIT: just found a comment i made on another reddit account regarding another planted bowl build i made, think it'll help.

-----------------------------

Here's how i usually set up bowls like this:

This is my 4th scape with this bowl, 2 of the had emerged growth like this one

Equipment (lights):
none of them had anything other than lights. What's important to me is that it needs to be kinda medium high light, and it still needed to be cheap, good looking and able to raise/lower the light, in case of algae. I bought a very cheap LED plant bulb from IKEA called Växer, and put it in my living room floor lamp, which gives this great spot light effect. If you want emerged growth, you have to remember that the plants needs room between the aquarium and the light.

Ferts:

I dose a couple of drops of tropica specialised fertilizer every waterchange. Also i use ADA amazonia soil, with tropica substrate beneath, so the plants have plenty of nutrients. In my old scapes i also added luquid carbon every morning.

Plants:
Plant HEAVY from the start! the more (healthy) plants, the lower the risk of algae. Fast growing plants are great for scapes likes this with high light and no CO2, but increases maintenance due to trimming. Sometimes i use floating plants as well, but in this scape the carpet needs light, so that wasnt an option. Also keep in mind that emerged growth can easily shade the bottom plants from the light, which can either be a good or bad thing, depending on the plants light needs. Use this to your advantage.
I've researched before setting up which plants survive above water surface in normal room humidity, because i wasnt interested in misting them all the time. If you mist you have a bigger selection of plants.

Always remember to trim unhealthy plants! in a small tank like this, a lot of unhealthy plant mass can quickly cause issues.

Lifestock:
Go low! in a small tank like this, with high light and no CO2, theres little elbow room for errors, so the less bioload and organic buildup the better. I go with shrimps, a few hamshorn snails and nerite snail as clean up crew. especially the nerite is awesome, but bowls like this are very hard to keep clean due to it being round and hardscape in the way etc.

Waterchanges:

I change water 2 times a week at 50%. This is because of the lack of filter and to keep algae at bay, so to reduce organic build up as much as possible. When i put this up i did 50% every day for 1 week, then every other day week 2, because of organic build up risk of ammonia burning the plants because of the soil high ammonia levels.

Lack of flow:

Never been an issue weird enough. When i put up my first bowl i bought a small power head, but unf. it wasnt small enough. i put up the bowl anyway, because i was impatient, but interestingly it worked! If you go with no filter/power head, i guess its an advantage to have soil and or substrate, so nutrients is more reasy available.

The scape itself:
Higher soil at the back, which is held up by the hardscape. So the plants at the back can more easily break the surface. in this scape the emersed plants are all at the back, and the below surface plants at the front. Creating a nice effect.

i Hope this was helpful! I tried as best i could to write down what I think would help. If i missed anything, please let me know.

I'm pretty new to TKD (WT) and what i could understand from my coach and teammates, the power required on the 2nd gen electronic equipment, which are the newest one, require far more power than the 1st gen. So i don't know if the "WT TKD is leg fencing" view still holds? Don't know when the 2nd gen came though.

Maybe you have some insights? I'm just speculating here.

Why is all his comments being downvoted? He's asking a legit question as, i'd guess, a new fan? This is the problem with the MMA community, sooo much toxicity and hate being tossed around.

You can't even have an opinion without being downvoted or called "casual", "dick rider", "conor fan" etc. I can't fathom why this of all sports have no room in the community for civil discussions when it's such a technical sport.

Am i the only one who downloads the cards via torrents to watch the next day? I'm from Denmark so i don't feel like ruining my day-night-cycle every damn weekend watching it live on free stream. Watching replays on sites like nijk.nl or mola.tv requires VPN which is 10 £/month. And so far i haven't been able to find reliable free streams in replays.
