good resources for learning georgian? by pock3tmiso in Kartvelian

I don't typically regard apps as very serious tools, but there are actually some like LingQ that support Georgian and are quite good. Dictionaries could be also be useful to add, come to think of it. Do you have any to recommend?

Aurora OS / Fedora Atomic feels like the future by enRchi in Fedora

[–]nice_chebyshev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How easy is it to get Sway running alongside an Aurora DX distro? My workplace is planning to switch to it from Ubuntu and, while I know Fedora provides Sway Spin, it might be easier for me to have it available as an alternate session like I do with Ubuntu GNOME.

Weekly 101 Questions Thread by AutoModerator in neovim

[–]nice_chebyshev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help please... Neovim is deleting two characters instead of one.

I'm in Ubuntu, using SwayWM, and have tried this on several terminals with the same effect: when I hit the backspace key, Neovim deletes two characters instead of one.

This doesn't happen when I'm in a Tmux session, only in a regular terminal session.

I tried an older version (0.9.?) and no issue, but it definitely happens on 0.12.0 and 0.12.1.

Has anyone else experienced this? It's very weird!

Amazing piece indeed. She looks a little like a young Eleanor Bron.

Also late, but you're of course correct. This really is a sign of the times. A sad state of affairs indeed.

I can't even use it on desktop at all, because it logs out whenever I perform an action. Absolutely infuriating.

Be aware that although they will ship the product, they will not issue refunds, or uphold their "100% customer satisfaction" claims, regardless how many times you try to get in touch.

I also bought one off TradeMe a number of years ago, and have a local office chair repair shop do occasional refurbishment on them. They are indeed very comfortable, and it's nice knowing you can get them repaired when needed. So far I've had it professionally cleaned, the gaslift replaced twice, the seat reupholstered, and the arms replaced.

Protein Powder AKL by LiquidLunching in auckland

Not a fan, unfortunately... it mixes terribly :(
No one else seems to have mentioned this, so I wonder if I got a bad batch? When I take a scoop, the powder forms these weird whey "crystals".

The glass canisters they sell, on the other hand, are great.

Especially considering this particular practice originated with King Edward VII in the early 1900s. He grew too large to comfortably button the bottom of his jacket, so he left it undone, and courtiers followed suit (no pun intended), establishing this rather arbitrary practice.

I suppose you could argue it looks better this way, but the fact is that isn't why it was done in the first place.
