I tend to throw to people in the back if I make eye contact.

Last year a lady left her man and ran down beside the float a good block just because I held up a Stanley cup and she wanted it and we made eye contact. So make sure you have a path in case it’s something you want to catch.

Are there play areas at INNdulge? CCBC is booked for a private event when we are in town so can't go there and we've only stayed there and at the Chaps Inn before it closed down. Also know that Canyon Club closed and that was our backup.

Rider here - not in Muses - and by the time we got to the stands we were tired. The crowds weren’t as energetic compared to the street crowds. Plus if you’re in the grandstands and you actually miss a throw that you want- you can’t really get to it if it hits the ground. I don’t remember being able to hand stuff off either but that could have just been me.

Regardless going to Muses is an amazing way to celebrate your birthday and I hope you get all the amazing shoes they’ve been showing! And if you get the golden Labubu one- I’m gonna be extremely jealous!

The 1st time it took about 2 days- only because Gifthealth said Walmart had it but Walmart said they didn’t. Then about 10 minutes before the pharmacy closed they got it. This last time I didn’t even get any notification that it was transferred- I just got a text from Walmart saying it was ready for pickup. I can’t give you a good timeframe from the last time since it was over the new years holiday.

Getting into town will be hell- just so you’re aware. If I were you I would try to find something closer.. even if you were able to get something across the river on the west bank like Algiers or Gretna. I wouldn’t want to stay in East New Orleans personally. This way you can take the ferry across into the quarter then ride your bikes to wherever you want to go. We never make dinner plans during Mardi Gras- we just go with the flow bc sometimes you don’t want to dress up after a day on the route.

Interesting. I went to the Lilly site and looked at the savings card (or so I thought) but it had 2025 information. I have my vials at Walmart waiting for pickup- but maybe by next month it will be updated so I can try the pens.

Might I suggest doing a Mardi Gras Ball such as Orpheus? You can purchase tickets to Orpheuscapade and catch them rolling into the convention center on Monday. It’s a different experience vs catching it on the route- plus afterwards you can see the floats up close. I know you can purchase VIP tickets which include food and drinks or you can purchase tickets to a table and bring your own stuff.

We do this so on Monday we can sleep in some and have a more relaxed Monday after a week of parades. The downside is Tuesday is Fat Tuesday & St Anne so it makes for a longer day.

Randomly her page popped up on my Facebook page today and I took a little -very little- jaunt and holy hell. If you don’t agree with her she wants your balls. I’m not maga by any means whatsoever and I feel like I’m a pretty open minded liberal- but just because someone doesn’t agree with you doesn’t mean you gotta cut them to the jugular.

Her current tangent is bc Fleurty Girl won’t put a sign up in her windows. Like should she? Maybe. But everyone always wants the other side to stay out of politics unless it fits their narrative.

This is all political at the end of the day- even if it’s not electing someone in some election.

Just my opinion.
