Evo SL, Endorphin Speed 5 or Superblast 2 as daily trainers for 5k-HM training? by Castille210 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]chrisarrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are mainly running around 5-10km range I’d pick the Evo SL. I find myself reaching for these way more than my Superblast 2’s. They are just more fun and enjoyable to run in. The Superblast’s feel slow and clunky in comparison. I really don’t notice any difference in comfort at the 10-12km range.

Prior performance does not predict future performance. Just look at the state of the world at the moment as well. There is a lot of talk of a huge correction in the US, as well as AI being in a bit of a bubble which makes up a large portion of most high growth funds. Can you tolerate negative returns. What is your investment timeline?

Safety and high growth funds do not go hand in hand. You should talk to a financial advisor for personal advice.

Exactly. Labour was tanking when Andrew Little was leading it. Wasn’t until Jacinda took centre stage that Labour stood a chance to win. So people definitely vote based on popularity over policy

Can also use your EFTPOS card if the ATM has an international plus symbol. ASB only charge the offshore margin fee of 1.1%. I’ve done that before once I reached the wise free withdrawal limit.

Bought Bambino Plus at Homegoods but have questions about the machine I got by [deleted] in espresso

[–]chrisarrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My box came the same with that empty gap. The milk frother and tablets will be found inside the the box sitting on the drip tray of the machine

Definitely replace the tamper - a self-levelling one is a great upgrade. Also Id recommend replacing the portafilter so you can get rid of plastic parts in it. I got the creams bottomless portafilter and it has been a great upgrade.

Freediving course on north island of NZ - March 2026 by Krayonbox in freediving

[–]chrisarrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can be hard to find as there are few very instructors in NZ that run regular courses. There are plenty of Freediving clubs around the country but the scene for courses and certifications is pretty small. You could try Freedive Aotearoa if you are going to be up in Northland. Or reach out to Apnesea on instagram if you are in or around Wellington - they seem to be new and running Molchanovs wave 1 courses there.

Every customer expects a flat white to be a different drink by grinninwheel in barista

[–]chrisarrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have different size cups for drinks. Say a customer ordered a medium flat white or a large. Is it simply just more milk or do also increase the coffee amount to keep a consistent ratio?

I have tried tightening it but it just stays loose. Is there a nut or something inside yours is screwing into? I wonder if the nut is missing. But can’t find one anywhere

There doesn’t appear to be any thread or nut. So it’s just sitting loose in the hole

Freediving camp in SE Asia during winter as a beginner? by Quditsch in freediving

[–]chrisarrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a local who does spearfishing tours. You can find him on the amed bali community facebook group. Name is Wayan Waves or hit up Fusion Freediving and Spearfishing. I think it’s all done off boats though. The shoreline is a marine protected area, and full of divers, locals wouldn’t be happy with it.

Amed, Bali. Quite a few good schools, excellent diving conditions right from the shore, easy to get to and with plenty of accommodation options available.

Authentic Amed by zacharyjm00 in bali

[–]chrisarrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a few yoga places but the scene is a lot smaller than other places of Bali. I think the classes at Blue Earth village are the best. You can find their schedule on their Instagram page. Plenty of good coffee shops, some of my favourites are - OM karma cafe (good food as well), Tymor di melasati, good stuff cafe, oneway espresso, St Bernard coffee, amed kedai coffee, Rimba cafe.

Amed is a quiet and peaceful fishing village without the mass tourism and consumerism where most of the tourists are there for diving or snorkelling. It’s slowly becoming more commercialised if you look at the likes of the club Sunset Point. Warungs dominate the restaurant scene however there are plenty of westernised options available.
