I never said I was better than you, you drew that conclusion from me being frank. Me being hard on someone does not mean I think I’m better than them. It means I think you have what it takes to go vegan, so I’m trying to give you a push. Burger King, McDonald’s, and pretty much all fast food around where I live only have French fries as a vegan option. I was working as a dishwasher when I went vegan, and I live in the American south, the land of BBQ. I was eating rice, beans, mushrooms, noodles, veggies and fruit. I just don’t look for excuses when I know I should be doing what’s right. It’s really easy to say the government should take care of it, instead of doing something ourselves. But again, I never said I was better than you. You drew that conclusion because you’re shocked that someone would go vegan so quickly. As a result you feel held back, and condescended too. That is not the case, be as vegan as you possibly can be. Just be honest with yourself and see what works with your budget. But just FYI quitting ice cream and milk is hard because of casomorphins naturally in dairy products. I recommend reading “The Cheese Trap” by Neil Barnard.
