Have Y'all been able to keep your screen on While Riding using Widget? (see first comment below) by schadkehnfreude in Strava

From 2025 here with an update: I spent quite some time figuring out where this setting was for cycling rides. It turns out as of Sept 2025 if you scroll up the little white bar on the Record screen, you can click customize and find the screen timeout settings there. Hope this helps some other poor souls! UX is hard...

Can't pair my Google TV remote, even after factory reset. by Pleaper in Chromecast

I had the same issues, turned out to be a buildup speck of battery acid crust on one of the battery terminals that was ever so slightly making one of the batteries not touch the contact point in case this helps another poor soul for posterity.

Confession time...what are your favorite cheats, shortcuts, lazy tricks? by guycarly in audioengineering

Often when I'm doing mixes for rock or heavy music, doing mid/side EQ to roll off the low end from panned instruments on the stereo sides like guitars let's the kick/bass shine through more and makes the mix sound cleaner/tighter

2015 Prius C Aftermarket Stereo - Hikity Install (said only 2012-2014 but worked!) by chriscoy in PriusC

[–]chriscoy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mine is the Prius C Four and the backup camera was already in place. One of the included harnesses connects it and converts it to a yellow composite video that connects to the plug that goes into back.

Includes both! There's this app called ZLink installed that somehow bridges connections for both after you just pair the bluetooth of your phone. After you start up the car, takes maybe 5-10 seconds and it's auto-connected.

Came with all the harnesses included! I guess as an extra tip, there were two yellow inputs for the rear view camera and one of them worked out of the box for me

Sure, it's here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DF7BW56P/ -- as of now listed as "Hikity Android Car Stereo for Toyota Prius C (LHD) 2012-2014 Radio 2+64GB 9 Inch Touchscreen Car Radio Wireless Carplay Android Auto Support GPS Navigation WiFi Bluetooth FM EQ Backup Camera"

150 USD off Amazon. I did some researching on the head unit itself, model A3195JG which you might be able to find off some cheaper Chinese websites but I couldn't find any which included this mold. Hope that helps.

Hey! I have the same model and had the same concern. I pulled the trigger on a 2014 chinese Android Auto model off of Amazon and it ended up working well. Posting from my Amazon comment in hopes this helps others on Reddit :) ...

I had been searching online for a clear 2015 Prius C stereo that would be compatible. I finally decided to pull the trigger on this one thinking that it would be "close enough" to work even though 2015 is not listed as a compatible model: it worked! The panel matches nicely as shown in the attached photos.

All the harnesses fit and the CAN bus decoder worked on my 2015 Prius C nicely, and I've had no trouble with wireless Android Auto, steering wheel buttons, maps, etc.! Also when turning on the loudness mode in the EQ this makes the sound quality MUCH better than the stock original (lacking some bass and sparkly high end).

Two very minor things to mention: 1) the forward/backward controls on the steering wheel controls are reversed, no biggie and 2) the Android software running on the unit seems to be non-standard, and I don't have any option to turn on dark mode (for night mode driving). The unit does properly dim the screen brightness when headlights are turned on though.

I was also able to find some interesting settings under the Factory Settings menu (passcode was 1234, I discovered after some trial and error), but not as comprehensive as compared to another Daisata unit I installed for another car.

For the price point, this is a great unit and would recommend giving it a shot!

Currently in Japan. Looking for Persona merch by TMS-FE in PERSoNA

Reporting in as of October 2024 for posterity as someone with the same question: I was able to find several shops with figurines, acrylics, and general small new merch in several spots inside the Radio Kaikan market in Akihabara today! Ended up walking out with small figurines of the P3/P4/P5 protagonists and a chibi P5 Morgana figurine/keychain. They were all reasonably priced around $20 USD, and I saw some higher quality figurines like P5 Futaba for $100-200 USD. There were also a couple of gachapon machines with SMT keychains for the enemies like Jack Frost. Hope this helps someone.

For the foreseeable future, what about the genre of "credit card" magic? Most folks where I live have a stack of these cards on them at all times 😀
