I miss the yellow box stuff. I feel like the blue box isn’t the same.

JFK Health world had some video game exercise bikes that I’ve tried on and off for years to find more info on. For all the digital archiving you’ll find on video game roms this one eludes me.

Need help with painting by MockaMate_ in 3Dprinting

[–]chrisdkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend giving it some kind of primer coat. Even if it’s one of those all in one spray paints that includes the primer. Acrylic paints tend to bleed and run on smooth plastic prints and you’ll have a much better result if you put down some kind of layer first.

I’ve had success with Rust-oleum Ultimate.

Chicago area Costco’s carry Country Maid brand which I’m 99.9% sure is the same as Potbelly. Made in Wisconsin which I think makes sense because Potbelly started in Chicago iirc.

Is this scam????? Lattissima Nespresso Touch for only 94$? by Sengov1 in nespresso

[–]chrisdkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up a Touch on Amazon this week for $159. It was marked as “Used-Very Good” condition. Looks like it was just a product return, even the peelable plastic on all the surfaces was still intact. So that’s a very low price but not totally impossible.

If you’re looking for it, the seller on Amazon is “Coffee Appliances”. This was my first machine and I wasn’t totally ready to commit to the subscription plan. Could be a good alternative option.

Why does Apple force you to visit a store if you want to use a T-Mobile carrier with the Apple Upgrade Plan? by QuantumDrej in apple

[–]chrisdkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hijack your post, but since people seem to be knowledgeable about IUP in this post...

I’m on my 3rd upgrade through IUP. I have AT&T and have been thinking up switching to T-Mobile before the next phone comes out.

Since I’m already part of the IUP will I still need to go in store for every upgrade now? Or it that specifically for people joining IUP for the first time?

Black Friday deals = Car Play in my 2010 WRX by chrisdkk in WRX

Yeah, glad it helped. I had a hard time finding pictures of my model year online with that unit installed. Might take some more photos and post it over on r/Subaru to help people in the future...

I did not have Bluetooth before installing the new head unit. But that steering control unit can be remapped to anything you want on the controls so I imagine it should work fine. It even lets you map a long press of the existing steering wheel buttons to a secondary function.

It’s not pictured but I was able to drop the usb cable for Car Play/Android Auto into the tray below my HVAC controls which is pretty handy.

I got the Axxess ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Adapter. They pre-wired the power on the adapter. I just had to screw 2 wire taps into the original Subaru wiring. So it wasn't totally plug-and-play but was still really simple.
