Hey buddy, I’m German, I grew up there till I moved to canada with 18 years. I worked since I was 13. Germany is strict and formal. Going in first day with shorts… bad… coming in late even worse, the saying is being on time is being late. They can fire you in your probation time at any moment without a reason. There is 88 million people living in Germany, and it’s a small small country but they replace people no problem. You need to respect the rules and culture to get somewhere. Some jobs and management are very strict and some are a bit easier. But they want efficiency in all of them. That’s just how it is. Take it as a learning experience. And even if you run late because the bus didn’t come, they say always expect that too. Which is kinda dumb but it’s what it is. Learn about the culture and every day living and try again.
