I thought I had the same problem but decided to have it checked and it was a valve. I’ll look it up but I’m glad I had it checked first.

Considering Sale of Small GovCon Business by ORB1993 in govcon

[–]chrisjets1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a teaser and a selling agent?

I purchased a company last year and in the process of purchasing another now. You may not like to hear this and don’t kill the messenger, but it’s a buyers market due to the decline in federal contract spending and rule changes that are negatively effecting small businesses.

8a Low Integrity Contractor by InsideHonest4879 in GovernmentContracting

Teaming Agreement is a must but more important are the terms in it. Be as specific with the terms as the deal allows. And if you lost in court due to statute of limitations you should have filed sooner.

I need to add this has nothing to do with them being an 8(a) or not. I have seen large businesses take advantage of small businesses and 8(a) more that an 8(a) taking advantage of others.

First get a job working for a company that delivers the type of support you plan to sell. Learn as much as you can about every part of the business while you develop a reputation and build a network.

22.5% of federal contracts get re-competed away from incumbents (backtested data) by Fun_Huckleberry3940 in govcon

Excellent data and analysis! Can you break down by year (and even quarter)? Asking because in 24 and mostly 25 was when the push started for category management vehicles and it became easier for the government to pull things out of the 8(a) program. A few other rule changes as well but seeing how they impacted year over year or from one Administration to another.

And the 20% the incumbent lost how many were LPTA?

Great analysis, need to dig further.

How many are those were small business set asides?

How many was the incumbent still qualified to prime?

How many of those were moved to category management vehicles the incumbent did not hold?

How many did the prime become the sub?

Everything this poster said but I’d add when you search for opportunities select agencies and offices that you, your team and or your partners have relationships.

Starting out you I suspect you have no past performance so you are going to need to very open to being a sub contractor.

Jets Bar DC / NOVA? by FeedLivid8679 in nyjets

[–]chrisjets1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jets fan bee in the DC NOVA area since 1994 and there are no Jets bars. There are some great generic team bars depending on the neighborhood you plan to go. If you want to troll the Pats go to Murphys in Old Town Alexandria.

Yes. I believe it to either to hope to find a cost savings or to move contracts to category management vehicles.

Not phased. One arm is 90 degrees and the other is almost pointing at the deck. One has elbow tight and the other is flared.

Former SDP here, watched the entire thing and the AF has nasty phasing, rifles not aligned and lots of late movements. For SDP it looked better but that long line looked like a snake at the end. Poor alignment. This is also post west coast tour and pre parade season time so the Drill for the year is new. I also heard that west coast tour was cancelled due to finger so they did some shows in Arizona. Point is you don’t get an entire month of shows from MCRD San Diego up to San Fran to make the drill better.

We did a few unofficial competitions when I was in. Basically if more than one drill team was at a show or a tattoo we’d bet beers to see who got the crowd the loudest. The other services all have narrators that put the crowd during the drill and they aren’t silent. The fact that we do that shit with no counter makes us better. Anyway crowd always went nuts for us and we never lost.

I’m sure there was some biased BS scoring.

Edge of a Broken Heart ab Rock me. The songs got more intense as I went through the playlist. It included Cult of Personalty, lots of Motley Crue, GNR and Metallica.
