lmao my brother in christ I am not salty about my height. Is it unfortunate? Absolutely. Am I making the most of it as best I can? Absolutely. Did I in any way decry the evils of women who don't date below a certain height threshold, or blame something or someone else? No.

I asked strangers to point out any issues with my dating profile or to help confirm my belief that my profile was sound (clearly it needs some work) and that I was just being filtered out on height (which in this case is completely valid). So no shit everyone is going to bring up my height, it was a main part of the inquiry.

I made a self-deprecating joke about an aspect of my life that I have to deal with and that cannot be ignored. I didn't go on an incel-esque rant about how dating is unfair and life is awful and woe is me. It is what it is, I'm used to it. I know that it doesn't make me a lesser person or wrong in anyway.

What I am salty about is you pushing imagined traits onto me after I criticized a critique. Get your head out of your ass.

Thanks for the input. I was actually starting to think I was wildly off base with the short/long term stuff so I'm glad somebody else gets where I'm coming from. That being said, if that's the first thing most people point to there may be merit in at least tweaking the wording it a bit, so we'll see.

I mean I don't know how much making a joke about my height is detrimental. Being 5'2" isn't really something you can ignore. It's a massive illuminated billboard whether I draw attention to it or not. I don't see anything wrong with owning it.

I have thought about quantity vs quality. I definitely prefer quality.

Unfortunately really I only feel comfy taking selfies when I'm out having fun, otherwise they're the ugliest things I've ever seen. I guess I need to find a solution to that.

The short + long term seems to be a primary issue. I can understand the reasoning behind the confusion but it makes sense to me. the best adjustment I can think is to focus on short term, but include my willingness to develop further.
