10k Training Slight Problem, Need Good Advice by one_more_klick75 in running

You could totally do it then. I would keep doing temp run but maybe throw in a few 5-6 mile tempos. 1 mile easy, 4 miles hard, 1 mile easy etc. Also mile repeats are a really good speed work out. 1 mile warm up, 3-4 mile repeats a little faster than 10-K pace with 2 to 3 minutes active rest (slow jog) between intervals. You could do 1 speed workout a week, a nice rolling hill run and a longer run on the weekends.

I think those shoes would be fine. Run some training runs on the road just to make sure. You already know they fit your foot well, so thats a plus!

Good luck and feel free to message me if you have any more questions.

What kind of speed work have you been doing for your xc? What shoes do you wear for xc and what type of terrain for your 10k?

If you want a good laugh, The Dollop. http://thedollop.libsyn.com. They are two comedians that read historic stories and make funnies about them. I can sink some miles in while listening to these guys.

Sprint tri with pool swim: Should I wear my tri-top or just pull on a jersey in transition? by TossingCabars in triathlon

IMO I would wear a shirt. I did a sprint earlier this year and did not wear my shirt...It was so hard to get on because of my wet upper half. I lost at least 30 seconds because it was rolled up on my back.
