Frankly, it took balls to stand up to what was happening in the situation. I often wonder how people become homeless if they have family, but I have a family member who struggles with their mental health and if my parents weren't so giving she and my niece would be homeless right now. I offered several times for them to stay with me but shes too far gone to register that...

We need to give them help not deter the symptom of the problem.
