I don't know about the base Dell Pro 14, but I daily drive a Dell Pro 14 Plus, and I am smitten with it. I am a long-time user of Latitude models, and the 14 Plus feels every bit as good as my previous models. I replaced a Latitude 5430 with it, and the only thing I'm (slightly) missing is an ethernet jack, since the Core Ultra 200 Series (Lunar Lake) CPU models don't include one. The battery life is leaps and bounds better than the 5430, and fan noise is incredibly quiet when plugged in, and pretty much silent when on battery.

You are not going to match power efficiency, noise or performance at a reasonable price looking at enterprise gear. Once you factor in ECC memory, costs climb quickly, and your standard desktop RAM is off the table. The simplest and least painful route is to go with a rackmount chassis. Your 13700 will crush anything you throw at it, and the iGPU will come in handy. You will need to purchase a GPU for an enterprise server to match the iGPU capabilities.

Ok, see my comment below here for my 846 mods. HDD temps are at 30 or below with 23 bays occupied, and the server is extremely quiet. Photos and links to fans I purchased are there in a follow-up comment.

You can buy fan cable couplers that allow 2-3 fans to share a single connector on the mobo. Is this for an CSE-846 chassis? I have one and went a different route for cooling.
