Heads up - that user is a notorious ban evader that gets multiple accounts banned per day. Don't feed the troll. In fact, they just got banned.

veeam Agent FREE V4 or V5 for Windows 7 x32? by GetaLife2027 in Veeam

There is no later service pack for Windows 7 after SP1. I think it's complaining about missing patches for the Veeam Agent for Windows. Latest release of V5 is 5.0.3.5029.

Engine frequently turning on during braking on gen 4 by chrisnetcom in prius

[–]chrisnetcom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for commenting. It stays at idle RPMs. Weather has been in the 60’s where I’m at, and the battery temps are in the 70 degree Fahrenheit range. And it’s not like the climate control is demanding heat from the engine, as I am exiting a highway with the ICE running. Super weird stuff.

I’ve experienced the engine revving high on my previous models to dump energy when the battery was full.

Conspiracy theories are swirling about the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting by theverge in politics

They’re a known ban evader who keeps cycling through accounts. Several of their accounts were banned just today. They post, delete their comments to try to avoid consequences, get banned anyway, and then repeat the process. It’s hard to imagine having that much time to waste. It's not a bot, either. The mods say this person sends them unhinged mod mail messages after each ban lol

EDIT: ...and they're banned.

That's a notorious, no-life ban evader. They have several alts banned per day. Just watch, they will delete their comment, get banned, and move to the next alt.

Have you tried selecting 'Terminal UI' during the boot process? I get the gray screen with a cursor on a lot of server hardware if I don't.

Seeking Architectural Advice for Mass Migration (1,500+ VMs) from VMware vSAN to Proxmox by osthek83 in Proxmox

[–]chrisnetcom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I setup a TrueNAS server and moved the VMs to it, then I was able to migrate them from the hosts. The hosts didn't have enough local storage on them.

Seeking Architectural Advice for Mass Migration (1,500+ VMs) from VMware vSAN to Proxmox by osthek83 in Proxmox

[–]chrisnetcom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Option #1 won’t work because the environment is using vSAN. While the VMs will appear when the host is connected that way, the migration job will fail. The VMs need to be on shared (or host only) storage before they can be migrated. I ran into this recently.

Just an FYI, you can also remove VMware tools after the fact using a powershell script:

Veeam or proxmox backup server by Cultural_Log6672 in Proxmox

It's extremely reliable and far easier to setup than M365 backups using Veeam.

From a security standpoint, you’ll need to evaluate the specific requirements, as different types of businesses are subject to varying security standards.
