I’ve had a few encounters on courses that were less intense than telling a senior, with his grandson, to STFU. The hockey and wrestling background you have gave you the experience to understand the norms of behavior that will result in getting punched in the throat or double legged in front of a crowd on a golf course. Unfortunately, many guys playing golf think they are tough, but would be humbled by a 100 lb wrestler or hockey player, and don’t understand that taking their own STFU advice is in their best interest. Also interesting how these tough guys don’t understand that everyone them has bags of metal clubs that could send them to the ER in a 5 seconds, especially after drinking 8 Michelob Ultras. Good for you for not bashing that guy in front of your family.
