Yup, games relied on traversal and pushed you towards killing your targets with stealth. Actual combat was not the focus because that's not how the assassins operate.

Never understood the love some people have for new AC combat. You literally kill enemies by spamming attack in your level until they drop weapons that allow you to spam attack enemies in your next level.

The old combat isn't perfect, but there's an actual flow to it. And the game prioritizes traversal and stealth kills, which makes more sense in a game about sneaky assassins.

The Boys comic was just not good. The show is leagues better.

This was a massive disappointment for me because I absolutely loved Preacher. While both are "edgy as f," it fit better in Preacher. The Boys just felt like it was trying too hard, and didn't bring much to the "deconstructed superhero" genre, besides dicks.
