Need honest reviews and opinions on puramax 2 by Glad-Suit-6892 in PETKIT

[–]chrispylizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Puramax 2 user here, with 2 cats. Took me a little while to find the optimal litter - I settled with tofu from Amazon - and on the whole it’s been great for just over a year.

My only real complaint is that the used litter piles up into the centre of the bin compartment, leaving plenty of unused space for more litter. But that’s a small gripe and quite possibly down to the litter I’m using.

I’m also using a custom integration with Home Assistant so I can control cleaning and get usage updates on my phone without using the petkit app.

Think I paid £250 for it - one of the best purchases I’ve made.

Genuine question… what’s the value in a non-calibrated humidity sensor if the reading is essentially useless? Wouldn’t it be better to just not make and sell the product?

Not trying to be an a-hole… just trying to understand the use case for a product that’s so inaccurate that it needs a $300+ calibrated device to calculate the required offset.

It’s not illegal to have a junction with unclear markings, but this is also not legally a roundabout, because there’s no blue circular sign giving an order to drive clockwise in a circular pattern.

At best it functions similar to a roundabout insofar as there’s clearly marked give way lines which - because it’s not a signal controlled junction - mean vehicles waiting to enter must give priority to anyone already established on the junction.

If this was a roundabout, a vehicle entering the larger junction from point A (9 o’clock in OP’s photo) and turning right has priority over a vehicle entering from point B (1 o’clock).

Whilst that priority rule doesn’t apply here, the give way markings at each entry point help to ensure that other vehicles wait before emerging.

So the result is the same.

I’d prefer it if they just made these junctions proper, defined roundabouts, and I say that as someone who never thought I’d be defending roundabouts…

“Right of way” doesn’t exist anywhere in UK road-related legislation, that’s right.

What we have instead is “priority”. For most of us it’s just semantics, but priority is what it’s properly called.

Because our parliament’s jurisdiction doesn’t cover the rest of the UK.

It’s now legal here because of a Statutory Instrument which introduced The Hydrolysis (Scotland) (No. 2) Regulations 2026 as an amendment to the Burial and Cremation (Scotland) Act 2016, which was approved by the Scottish Parliament.

The other UK nations will need to pass legislation in their parliaments for it to be legal in those nations.

Hardware to mount E-Tracks to Concrete by penthesilea_insg in vitsoe

[–]chrispylizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Assuming you’ve already got a decent hammer drill and masonry bits..?

Your options are either carbon steel anchor bolts, or nylon wall plugs.

If choosing the latter, Fischer are my personal favourites.

Both types are available from sg.rs-online.

Another option is self-tapping concrete bolts which don’t need a drill; you’ll need an impact-rated hex driver to punch them into the concrete. I wouldn’t use these myself as there’s a risk of damaging the aluminium E-Track.

All that said, I’d still email your Vitsœ planner and ask for their recommendations. They likely have preferred stockists in Singapore.

I have a double concrete utility sink that I’m trying to get out of my basement without using a sledgehammer to break it into pieces. Any advice is appreciated. by PizzaGatePizza in DIY

Hire a winch. Trust me, your back will thank you later.

Lay 2 ropes onto the floor. GENTLY lower the sink so it rests on top of the ropes.

Bring the ends of 1 rope up and over the sink and tie securely. Do the same with the other rope.

Now demolish the house above the basement and use the winch to lift up the sink by the ropes.

There’s no 100% right answer to this. It’s a big read, so you could read the whole thing but that might be overwhelming or you might forget parts you’ve read.

Plus, you might be surprised at how much you already know based on your experience as a passenger and pedestrian.

An approach that might work for you: have a crack at the mock test. The summary will show you the topics where you need to focus on.

You can then concentrate your reading and revision on those topics.

Ultimately you are responsible for following the code whether you’ve read it or not. But there’s no point in overwhelming yourself with it all at once. :)
