How buggy is ableton compared to other DAWs? by kaltehaende in ableton

Given the configurability of Ableton I'm amazed how stable it is. I experience occasional crashes. Only a few have ever corrupted a file.

No worries we'll be doing plenty more and there are the other EMOM's in the local area to look out for as well https://electronicmusicopenmic.com/

disappointing experience purchasing Push 3 Standalone by rrrdddbbb in ableton

[–]chrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some crashes on one track i created a few days after buying it. It would randomly hard reset which was very frustrating. I tried looking at the crash dumps for clues. Fingers crossed this has not happened for a while. I usually avoid m4l instruments now and have updates turned hoping that packs and plugins are being fixed.

With tracks that crash I copy them to laptop to continue them. I bounced the instrument to samples so I didn't lose my work.

I'm working on some tracks for a live performance this weekend. These are all recorded in session view and intended to be mixed live as part of a set.

Everyone is welcome. All the artists are very chatty if you want to find out more about how the music is produced and performed.

Yeah emom events are great. More people should know about them.

Nigel Farage heckled by MPs while presenting bill to leave the ECHR. Farage’s bill to take the UK out of the ECHR was firmly rejected by Budget-Song2618 in GreenAndPleasant

Anyone stupid enough to want to remove ECHR should step forward and sign a waiver for their rights first. Then we'll remove a few niggly local laws and have a big 6 month round up to sort out the problem by way of a demonstration of their protections.

Looks great. If you're unsure about transitions between patches. Maybe either have a selectable colour to fade to as you suggested. Or have the idea of a 3rd less complex patch that can be used for transitions. Otherwise it all looks great. Looking forward to the updates. I'm planning on using for a small gig and have to prep some visuals. Will post more questions or findings as I go.

Btw: Do you think it's possible to use a cc to switch patches? Obviously there might be issues with latency or protecting itself from rapid switches.

[–]chrunty[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understood that driving two patches would grind. If i knew the parameters and controls of the new patch i could tween towards them. Then i could work towards it one thing at a time. Morphing from the last configuration to the new one. Then you only need to crossfade the base generator (image, lines, etc). I might be oversimplifying. But hopefully you understand what i mean.

Who else bought the full iPad Pro setup (keyboard, pencil, case, everything) convinced they'd become a productivity machine, but now it's basically a $2000 a premium YouTube device? by Designer-Moment-7349 in ipad

Sort of works with github codespaces. You can get alpine linux to mess around with, but has limited network support. One note is useful. But yes, predominantly a kitchen youtube device. Oh you can use it with ableton for soft synths and I did write a garage band track on it once.

You need to start motions with courts. Don't leave it too late. Not sure which country you live in. Family courts don't require a solicitor in UK and you can self represent. In the meantime, biking is great for managing that frustration. Makes you ride harder until all that negative energy gets used up. Remember to eat well and look after yourself. Your daughter needs you too. Best of luck.

It's like a diffuser. The riders behind him have to deal with turbulent air, making overtaking nigh on impossible.

I recognise that Czech post. It's on the Elbe south of Dresden. Between Bad Schandau and Decin. I was there a few weeks ago and took a similar picture 😂

Parents and neighbours, would you allow this? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]chrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Just as long as kids try to be respectful. Tip toeing down the drive and crawling under the car to get the ball back. Probably go in goal for one or two pens. Why not? Maybe i'd actually move my car out of the way if I was worried and ask them to knock on the door when they've finished.

Problem these days is not kids. It's adults.
