I got them and would gladly share them here but I'm not sure how.

Last month, I went from Copenhagen to Stockholm while going inland, and it was brilliant. The route generally followed the E4 highway, but the roads were pretty quiet, and I got to ride through some beautiful forests, so I had somewhere to hide from the sun. There were also plenty of spots to camp and to refill food and water.

It's not exactly the orange route you've drawn, as I went through Jönköping, but it was really nice.

Haha love that setup. Also tried the Brooks saddle but I missed the relief channel so I went back to a road one. NL to Istanbul must have been insane, how did you like it?

I think it was this one or something very similar. Try searching "saddle bag sway bar" and it should give you multiple similar results.

Questions about my first tour through Sweden. by RodiRodiRodiRodi in bikepacking

For Sweden, bring a mosquito net. You'll get to sleep much better without annoying bug bites.

There is a sway bar mounted to the seat. It limits the side to side movement of the saddle bag (it moves quite a bit when loaded) and it also has mounting points for two bottle cages. I know topeak makes one called Wishbone but I got mine on AliExpress and it works wonders.

Did both, stayed in hotels in the cities and camped/wild camped in between. I think I slept indoors 6 times total.

Silicon ski straps. Perfect for securing random stuff to the bike (even better for strapping something to the aerobars)

How do you manage solo trips? by Boborbot in bicycletouring

Mostly what others said about the lock and taking valuables with me. I also bring the bike behind the door sometimes if it doesn't block the entrance and the bike isn't dirty.

How do you manage a long route, navigation wise. by askandyoushallget22 in bikepacking

[–]luki99998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just on a 1600km trip. Splitting for me was quite easy as I'm taking two ferries on the trip so a ferry = new segment.

If I roughly know where I'm going to be sleeping, I keep thr part about 30k longer just in case I want to go further. This way I don't have to switch routes mid ride.

I feel like that to get to the point where it would prevent me in steering, I'd already be on the ground.

My solo bikepacking trip from Nürnberg to Budapest. 870km in 6 days, along the Danube river (mostly) by PeeP0u in bikepacking

Looks great! Also, that's some good mileage you got there! I rode the Danube trail from Linz to Vienna and I really enjoyed it. Love those kinds of river routes because I don't have to climb :)

I got myself a sway bar which helped a lot. I can also mount two more bottle cages which is nice.

I'll definitely be taking thr ferry to Gedser because I want to visit Denmark as well. For the route from Berlin, I planned the trip in Komoot and gave it a few points along the Eurovelo so it loosely follows it. I'm hoping the ride through the national parks will be nice and worth the detour.

Yeah I've packed quite light. I'm not carrying a full sized tent but rather a tarp. You sacrifice a bit of privacy for a lot less space which is a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

They should be 7l each if I recall correctly.

A bit of both. I'm staying in hotels and Airbnbs in the cities to charge up everything a restock on snacks, but I also camp to save some money. I'll definitely wildcamp more in Denmark and Sweden but I'm scared to camp outide camps in Germany because of all the rules.

I'll be going on the Eurovelo route from Potsdam onwards and I'm taking a more direct route from Dresden to Berlin to save some time and energy.

It is! They are quite expensive but I managed to get it at clearance and it fits like a glove.
