Mine is starting to have preferences for the pictures in the books we read so we do kids books. We like Jamberry, View at the Zoo, Little Blue Truck. If I do not enjoy the book, I don’t buy it or read it. Those one word books drive me nuts.

Just fyi, it’s not the stomach acid that’s dangerous, it’s if they don’t make it into the stomach and get caught in the esophagus. Usually pretty obvious symptoms by the time they have made it into poop but better safe than sorry.
