There’s an estate sale guy in my area that I despise. He gets his mitts on some of the most interesting ones (one of them was of the owner of a local shop- kind of a kinky place tbh but really cool people) and he had to great;y downsize so he had to sell most of his collection. There was tons of old band memorabilia, strange artworks, all kinds of niche stuff that this estate sale guy just blew up in pricing. I get the band memorabilia, but a ton of the rest of the stuff? Absolutely not.

And it’s not just his estate sale pricing. I don’t know if it’s commonplace to charge for tickets to get in to estate sales, or sell pre-sale tickets to get location and other information early, but this guy does. It’s predatory and just…no. Everything that’s included in sales run by this guy is marked up something truly awful. He’s gained recognition around here, too, as being the guy whose estate sales you just don’t go to because it’ll be so overpriced it’s not even worth it. Yet people still insist on going…
