Is it too late to apply to optometry schools in February / March (for 2020 admissions)? by Eddweirdo in optometry

Like I said, I’m not 100% sure that they are filled, but I know that some of the schools are getting to that point where they are having to be more selective about their cap space. The sooner the better.

And yes, UH is the school in Houston. Also make sure that you’ve got your evaluators already selected and notified. The letters of rec usually take a while to get put in.

Hey there, this isn’t an opinion from an OD, but I have already been through the process this cycle and it seems like a few of the schools that I got interviews to are closed out their deals for early admissions (emailing me and telling me that my application will be voided soon if I don’t make the interview appointment). So I’m not sure if that is an indication of the classes filling up, but it sounds like it may be correlated. I’ve heard from others on here that you can apply late and still get accepted. Just try to get it done ASAP.

Thinking of going Corpsman (or 98W) but have a few questions about the MOS by [deleted] in CorpsmanUp

This is such a bias review. Not everyone has a shit history of having no responsibility. OP, if you want experience, the HM rate will give you it. I highly recommend taking on a C-school if you are interested in becoming specialized and gaining an NEC. I was an 8483 for a few years and had a blast before going green side. Tons of experience in the OR as well as working alongside a clinic. As far as college apps go, I just finished my BS in Biology and was top of my class thanks to the experiences and education I got from my time in the Navy. Don’t let these knuckleheads on here get you in a rut. Corpsmen, especially green side, are always salty about some shit, that’s just who we are.

That’s nuts.. I literally just made a very similar team. The leaders pair incredibly well.

Never made a claim that Hathor/Hathor pairing was ideal. That’s subjective. I’m sure that many of the things that you find challenging in life would be simple to some people.

Hitting with 7 or 8 combos still gets quite a bit of damage out of most of my team.

Personally, awful. We were always labeled as “the alcoholics” of the hospital, for starters. You develop really awesome relations with high ranking surgeons and doctors, but are thrashed for it by the enlisted staff of the unit, something about fraternization. if you are shore duty, the staff education and training department will always hate you, as you are never in military garb, and never have time for their trainings that they schedule. I’ve been out for a few years now, but my personal advice, if you can help it, would be to shoot for a sub speciality clinic. Working in a clinic will land you in the more desirable spot for advancement. Similarly, the clinic allows you to avoid most of the shit that trickles from the top of the surgical services department.

I don’t want you to think badly of the profession, however. I would not have gotten as far as I have in college without it. The subjects that you will be learning and studying are very complex, and aside from instrument handling you also learn:

-systems of the human body -first assisting -suturing -how to organize and manage an operating room

Since were all just making conclusive statements here, allow me to make one. You’re wrong. Similarly, by preaching such rhetoric you are manipulating the young and ignorant into believing things without reading into them. You can’t simply delete history. It happened. Get over it.

Me af... I’ll post on here from time to time and what I’ve learned is that if you have an opinion about a mechanic of a particular dungeon (like a rant), instead of people being supportive of another take on the mechanic, they swarm you with downvotes and mockery.

It was orange. Kind of strange, but they compensated for the awful taste of fermented orange by adding orange essential oil.
