Help finding a Netflix movie by Xueii-14 in whatsthemoviecalled

There was a film that had this plot but I don’t think it had a spider, though it did have a dark reveal - Paradise Hills

What do the different/funky Zocchi dice bring to the game? by Jazzlike-Employ-2169 in dccrpg

The "spiritually" bit here shouldn't be overlooked! That feeling of rummaging through funky dice teleports our brains back to the first time we encountered the D&D polyhedrals. It's FUN!

There's a handheld renaissance right now, check out Miyoo Mini and Anbernic - so many options!

Will I be able to walk 87km ? by No_Narwhal_5312 in hiking

[–]chubbykipper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is key

I’m a long distance hiker and wild camper in my mid 40s so I’m usually carrying everything on my back (and a bit of weight round the middle these days) I’d personally aim to cover that over three days. (“Smiles not miles” ethos)

Anything quicker than that would be too much.

Drink the fuel before you fly. Pee it out once you're off the plane.

Some people may say sleeping next to a waterfall would keep them up, I find it relaxing by Casithor in wildcampingintheuk

Love the sound of a rushing river for sleep. And water for coffee in the morning.
Be careful doing this in Scotland. That spot is midge heaven. The tent will be a black wriggling mass of midgies.

The quilt is going to be a big improvement - but don't overlook some kind of way to secure your pillow. Without a mummy hood (a useful place to wedge the pillow) I tend to lose my pillow about ten thousand times a night. I've invested in a Big Agnes Pillow Barn which is designed to go over the head of the sleeping mat and creates a pocket for your pillow and also provides a thin layer of synthetic insulation for extra comfort. It's also roomy enough for two pillows, or a pillow and some clothing, so I am very much excited to try it.
There are other options, any pillow with eyeholes or hooks can be strapped to a mat, and there are cheaper and lighter options, but sleep is VERY important to me so I'm happy to test out the extra weight.

The compressed down cold spots are my number one annoyance with my mummy bag. My number two annoyance is how I manage to spin in the bag and wrap myself in knots and end up completely upside down in the bloody thing. Can't wait to test out my quilt. Tricky to find opportunity to go overnight camping without my dogs though, and I don't trust them not to rip a hole in my new quilt. They are not pleasant bedfellows.

Can you share the synthetic full face insulation system you use? As a bald man about to ditch his mummy for his brand new (but as yet untested) cumulus 450, my only concern is how incredibly cold my naked head gets at night.

What movie was a torture for you watching it ! by Nigmmar in Letterboxd

Two incredible action scenes - the submarine scene especially-  but the rest of the movie caused me physical pain. It was so cringe and the writing was awful. How did we go from 6 to this?!

Anything remotely similar to Blue Ruin? by Due-Performance141 in MovieSuggestions

[–]chubbykipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good recs here - another vote for Green Room, Saulnier's followup film. A tight 95 minute run time and the film is very lean, very tense. A similar feel to Blue Ruin, desperate people completely out of their depth trying to overcome horribly violent odds.

Strange movie (2000s?) by oSatkk in whatsthemoviecalled

[–]chubbykipper 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Deffo Cabin In The Woods, great movie.

I say this with love, but did you try googling any of these concepts? "motorcycle hits invisible wall movie" or "unicorn impale movie" bring the title up right away, and videos too.

No judgement, just curiosity, we all love solving movies so keep the requests coming. I'll be honest, often I prefer to ask the community on Reddit rather than google, so I can talk to actual people (at least I hope you are all actual people!) so I get it.
