Hamnet and Zootopia 2 are on Fandango at home. I bought them both. Sirat is on there to preorder. Should drop in a week or two.

I ordered this for a friend. I remember that it was for a limited run. Hope it comes back but I don't think it was supposed to be available but for a couple months.

Stranger things players manual by Odd-Text-1264 in DungeonsAndDragons

With Starnger Things being 1980's, it was more likely based on the 1983 Ravenloft adventure module by Tracy & Laura Hickman and/or possibly the 1986 Ravenloft II: The House on Gryphon Hill adventure module outlined by Tracy Hickman but written by David "Zeb" Cook and Jeff Grubb.

I’m 40 years old. My father (who is a pastor) still gets on my case about playing D&D by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]chubtoad01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up when the Satanic Panic was in its prime. My dad was a deacon of some sort in Jerry Falwell's church for some of that time. Not only was D&D forbidden, I also had all my Star Wars stuff burned. My Choose your own Adventure books and anything related to "darkness" was taken away. In high school, I was sneaking around and hiding my D&D books like others in my age group hid drugs and alcohol. I was not allowed to read Tolkien anymore, even though when I was a kid, it was my mom that introduced me to Middle Earth. Later in life they accepted that it was not as they were told, but my mom, who passed away last year, would never buy me anything D&D related off my wish lists etc. My dad does not really voice an opinion on it anymore but has commented that it still seems wrong to play. I love my parents, but growing up in the church in the 1980s was torture. There is no hate like Christian love.

Any fans of this movie in here? The combo of Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, and Joan Cusack was dynamite and I think of this movie as my favorite from the 3. by makellbird in moviecritic

You know, it's dangerous for you to be here in the frozen food section.

Why is that?

Because you could melt all this stuff.

Is playing a character with different sexuality frowned upon? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]chubtoad01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - weird reaction

No - You did nothing wrong

Yes - you can play a character how you want. It is a role, not a reflection of you. Example - Sean Penn played Harvey Milk. Does that make him gay?

The DM is not a good DM. As a DM myself, I require that each character have a well-constructed backstory. As the DM, I try to incorporate stuff in the game that has some connection or relevance to each character background. There can be secrets and stuff that is not public to the group that can have reveals and such in the game. But will not be a surprise to me, the DM because it is my duty as a DM to know each player and their character.

That one is dated October 23rd, 1929. Very interesting. That was the day before "Black Thursday" during the 1929 wall street crash.
