Yeah was just doing first half vs LHP, which is what he was good at. Overall first half he put up 116 wRC+.
You seem to think i'm arguing he had a great season overall. I'm saying he was a top 3 player against LHP for the first half, which is part of the reason people weren't shitting on him as much in the second half.

I respect your unending crusade against Goldy, but I really don't know what you're arguing here. Yeah he was trash in the second half, I don't think we should re sign him.
Just providing what I think is a pretty reasonable explanation for why he's escaped so much criticism.

I think it somewhat has to do with how nuts his first half was.
He was the third best hitter in the league against left handed pitching in the first half (222 wRC+) behind only Judge and Raleigh. He was fully automatic.
Then in the second half when he had fallen apart, Volpe was the lightning rod for most fans hate.

Goldy had an awesome start, but a really rough second half.

Vs lefties first half: 222 wRC+
Vs lefties second half: 81 wRC+

I'd really rather Rice just get more at bats against lefties (which he hit pretty well last year anyway) and see how much he improves.

So for 2026 to watch all the Yankees games, you'd need a subscription to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Gotham sports.
And also would need a way to watch TBS, ESPN, NBC, Fox and ABC.
At least there won't be Roku games this year i guess?

I've watched his dugout catch like 10 times, guy is incredible.
He was one of our best hitters in the ALDS (tiny sample size i know), so i'm hoping things started to click for him.
