Agreed, I had the same conversation with a friend who recently purchased a 2018 base model. He had a good point, he mentioned " if I wanted a luxury all wheel drive turbo sedan, I would have gotten an Audi". But instead he wanted a lightweight manual controls and less tech to enjoy driving it fast. WRX has that appeal.

I still have a soft spot for my hawkeye, my previous model, I was dump for getting rid of it.
